Will my car support and fit this turbo?

97 eclipse gsx awd 2.0 turbo Okay lets start by, my stock turbo is shot need a new one and like the cheapest one from dealer/ebay is like 500-600 and this other turbo is $330 but its a 20g turbo. im not a mechanic so bear with me idk didly squat about cars. but basically ill post pictures/the description and information listed about it everything turbo wise etc is obv stock in my car only things extra I got idk if u need to know but is headers,cai,turbo outlet,greddy BOV, and a 3inch exhaust system that came with car. I was told to ask will I need new pistons and rings or anything, or will my car really actually support this. I do not race I drive to and from work etc speed limits 65 on the highway only time im over 70 is having to pass an a**hole with a 16wheeler I try to stay away from jumping on it but when I run late places obv. I accelerate up to the speed limit or 5 over rather quickly but nothing major anotherwords with this car im not the speed racer type so keep that in mind. heres pics an description pics should show up description is rather confusing

This internally waste gate turbo supports 380 hp and delivers 640 CFM.

It has a big 20G compressor wheel, Td05H turbine wheel, and a specially designed turbine housing. It is ported and has a bigger waste gate. It fits 89-94 Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser and other models with the 4G63 2.0 engine. It replaces the 14B turbo and is a direct bolt on.

FITS THE 95-99 ECLIPSE 2G , COMES WITH ALL MOUNTING BRACKET

This T28 / EVO III Upgrade for Mitsubishi Eclipse and Talon will work w/ your stock fuel system. 450cc injectors that come stock will be sufficient for this turbo, although it is recommend to upgrade to a Fuel pump such as a Walbro 255, standard pressure.

The internals use a high flowing turbine stage complimenting an extremely efficient TB03 compressor stage rated at 36lbs/min.


I got a little confused reading that so im guessing its talking about the 2nd half of the description? it was labeled for 95-99 gsx

oh and I am getting a new intercool regardless I guess there was a small slash in it from when I cracked my bumper this winter doing under 15 mph in the snow so if anyone was going to say get a new intercooler I am and im going to overdo it an get a bigger better one than stock why not its not to expensive. But any info anyone has to answer my question is gona help id like to buy that turbo tomorrow morning if I know its good money, I need my car on the road. my turbo isn't 100% shot but I only really take it to the store and work that's 15 min away don't wana risk it anymore than I have to trying to get this one in there so its good to go ASAP

It will work however you will need a new fuel pump, fuel injectors, some thing to tune those with, and optional but highly suggested a data logger.

However, if you look around on here you can find a used t25. Or you can snatch yours off and send it to Justing Jusmx is his user name and he can rebuild it cheap!

im kind of car illiterate so what do I need to tune a new fuel pump & injectors with? I was trying to stay away from buying new injectors seeing how they are like 200+ where as the fuel pump was like 80-100 could I get away with stock injectors or will it really mess up my car

You are going to need a lot more than just injectors, fuel fuel pump and a tune. You are going to need a way to tune the car, either dsmlink or ecuflash, bigger exhaust, bigger intercooler, pump, injectors, regulator just to name a few things.

You will need fuel injectors for sure with a 20G for sure. You really need to search and read a lot before you start throwing turbo upgrades at your car! It will save you a lot of time and pain.

You can't expect a 20G to work well with stock bolt-on parts, and you can't expect a piece of GodSpeed eBay garbage to work well period.

Replace your turbo with a good used 14B for less money and it will last longer and not require expensive bolt-on mods.

$500 will not last long at all, and will be burnt up doing maintenance. Turbos often burn up due to lack of maintenance,what else may need repair before just slapping on another turbo to blow up?

As jus said, get a 14b just to get it going. You can run it at wastegate pressure until you get some savvy. Trust me, ive been there and ive killed two motors so far. Just take it slow, learn, then do.

Just get another t25 off the classifieds, unless you plan on upgrading other parts of the car just stick with a stock turbo.
