Will my car pass smog?

I have an intake, supra intercooler, MBC, boost controller, boost guage, and 3 inch catback exhaust. Will I pass smog in california? I know the car runs right.... but IM just wondering if I will pass the visual test?

It all depends on who is smogging it. Some places don't care as much as others. I had almost the exact same mod list and I passed in California. (barely)

With a CAT you should be all good. Its too bad that u have FWD cuz the dyno is whats gonna kill u. Just turn the boost down and find a shop that will pass u on the visual test with a intake. That was the only prob with my car. They wouldnt pass it with the K&N filter. just my .02

The same parts that have a CARB number for the Eclipse didn't get one for the Talon. It's not in the book, and reality doesn't matter to smog mechanics. Save a step and put a stock intake back on for the test, it only takes ten minutes. You may want to hide the MBC just to save that much more hassle- moved vacuum lines are a flunk flag.

Ask amongst your friends for sight-impaired smog shops. And never tell anyone if you find one.

Oh, and adjusting the MBC won't affect emissions on the California test. The numbers are taken at steady-state, not at transitional speeds.

PASSED! I hid the MBC under neath the intake pipe and put the stock airbox back on. PASSED! YAY! SO HAPPY! thanx for your help. With out you guys I would have just waisted 89.99! (yes that is how much it costs to smog in MARIN county ) THANX!
