2G Will Car Run Without CAS?

Like the title says - will a 95 GSX run without the CAS? Because for the life of me I can't find the damn thing but the car has been running for over a year without it.

Maybe I should explain: I blew my head gasket over a year ago and had a local shop do the work. When I got my car back I didn't notice at first but apparently the cam angle sensor was removed. I figured it was running so maybe it was fine. Am I just retarded or is that ok?

It's under the intake cam gear on 1995 engines.

Look for a circular plate and sensor behind your intake cam gear. That is where the factory '95/'96 cam angle sensor is located.

Yup, that's a CAS and quick and simple answer is "kinda"?
And by kinda I mean it'll fire on 2 cylinders for about 2 seconds then turn off.

That's a 1g CAS. If you have your factory engine, you will have nothing in that spot.
