i have a 91 eclipse gs non turbo will a tcu from a diff year work perfectly fine in my car.

2 questions?
will a 1992 eclipse non turbo tcu (transmission control unit ) work in my 1991 eclipse gs non turbo perfectly?

i got a tcu that was from a turbo eclipse i believe and the car is shifting hard going into second and a couple of seconds later shifts into third and when i hit overdrive the car goes in then comes out then goes back in then comes out then goes into limp mode will a turbo eclipse tcu in a non turbo do that?

answer to 1st question: yes, it will work

answer to second question: its possible, but im not sure

Yes it will work fine as long as its a non turbo m/t or a/t ecu...

Only thing to keep in mind with the m/t ecu would be that the ECU wouldnt pull timing on shifts anymore and unless you have a shift kit, this can be hard on the tranny I've heard.

Altho I've been running an m/t ecu on my a/t awd for 2 years now and its a stock tranny, no problems yet.

I run a 5 spd FWD ECU in my auto also and havent had any problems. Well, with that anyways..
