Will a 97-99 Eclipse Front Bumper fit over this FMIC?...It's HUGE!

Jesus that is huge man. Honestly probably unecessary, but hey it was on there so let's work with it. A 97 bumper is different in shape though. The bottom of the 95 like where yours is all cut up has a huge lip (smiley face). The 97 has a bigger bubble and doesn't lip at the bottom just turns back. So I think you'll have to cut a lot out of a 97 but it would retain more of an original look then that 95 bumper did. I say go for the 97 bumper and if cut right it will look 100 times better.

The bumper cut is pretty clean, but your driver's side headlight looks like it's bug eyed. But I'd say to leave it as is.

And how is it unnecessary? I don't see a problem with huge fmic's as long as you don't run into pressure drop.

What are the measurements of that FMIC? I just put one on my talon with a 97+ eclipse bumper that was 28x10.5x3.5. It's pretty big. I had to cut a good bit of the bumper but it looks fine.

you will stil have to cut the 2gb bumper but my guess is it will retain more of the origional shape just like 97TSIAWD stated

Because for size reasons a smaller ic could have been just as beneficial and efficient. Let's not get into it but proven intercoolers like Shepherd's are not that big and have taken him into the 8's. It is unecessary when you think about how a smaller cooler that would have actually fit could have performed the same. But if the previous owner had the money and didn't care, it doesn't really matter hence why I said you have it so that's what you have to work with. Plus, I think huge fmic's are fine (if it is setup properly), but that is a little more than just a huge fmic. And looking at the pictures and the product on the page it seems a little bigger then the 28x10.5x3.5 that it is listed as. I've seen that size (28x10.5x3.5) intercoolers on cars before that don't look like that, may be the picture but it looks a lot bigger. If not, the previous post says he has one that size on his car, so if he puts a picture up we could get a look at what it would look like with a 97 bumper.

I believe the previous said that it was AGP FMIC, but it looks a LOT bigger than the one I found on there site. I think with the GT35R Turbo, the size should not be an issue :) This car is sick and the best part was I got it for 5g's  .....it was from a friend and i don't think it was on ebay.

Sounds like a nice setup. Basically to find the size of it just tape measure it to find out. See how deep it is and tall. But I think the 97 bumper would be a nice cosmetic piece. Plus it sounds like you got a killer deal and would be able to get a nice bumper cheap. Post some pics if and when you change the bumper.

Thanks for the help 97TSIAWD! I will get some pictures up when I get a chance and I will also measure that bad boy and really see how big it is!

It shoul man because i have one form SBR thats a bit bigger and all i had to do is cut the bumper to make it fit. you can use an exacto knife. those work really well since the front bumper is made if plastic or sumthin real thin so the knife should go through it like butter. good luck with the install and post some pics. :thumb: oh and if its the short route youlle have to cut some of the metal next to the radiator for it to fit.
