I have a 1g throttle body and I was wondering if any body has 2.5" piping coming off the throttle body flange. The throttle body is 60mm and the 2.5" piping is 63.5mm. Will this hurt my performance or will it be fine. I don't want to use an elbow beacuse I want it all welded together. any suggestions?

My roomates 1st gen has his set up like that but its not welded all the way through, just on the flange for the TB all he has is the 2.5 inch upper IC pipe going to the stock intercooler and it seems to run just fine the only problem we had is it kept blowing off the coupler right there by the bend, so we had to replace it.
