What is a good aftermarket radiator, and does a 2g radiator fit in a 1g, and if it doesn't what do you have to change.

My TB coolant lines got a hole in one of them and started leaking out alot of coolant so I replaced those and filled it with new fresh antifreeze and then when driving home at a stop light I noticed the coolant temp go up to 3/4 and so I started driving california stopping when ever I could to keep air moving through the rad and the temp went down never to go back up. What would cause this.

If you weren't having cooling issues before repairing the leaks I'd look at first making sure all the air is out of your cooling system. I usually just let the engine warm with the filler cap off, up until the thermostat opens, top her off & go. :talon:

Most of your radiators are aluminum with plastic tanks. I didn't think anything else was available until I bought a 90 GSX and it had an all metal one put in it. So I know they do exist. I prefer all metal as plastic tanks tend to leak after a time. I have a whole stack of them at the shop for tank leaks.

Good Luck

-Please use punctuation marks.
-You should check to see if the radiator fan(s) work.

Slowboy has one for like 400 bucks. I saw a 2g rad on ebay for a little cheaper and I wonder if a 2g rad would fit.

Sorry for not using punctuation. Im in English 110 now so I should know this, from now on I will have my friends proof read my post before I post them.:thumb:

I just replaced my radiator with a Fluidyne from Road Race Engineering. They have them listed at $350 on the website, and after shipping it came out to $377.

Was the new radiator worth it? Did it run cooler did you notice on the stock guage?
Of course it was worth it, it got my car back on the road again and I won't have to worry about it breaking on me for a long time. I haven't noticed any large difference in the cooling by the stock gauge. There might be some difference but it is small.
But hey, it looks good :thumb:

I wouldn't spend a dime until you locate the source of your problem. It could be something simple.
