Wideband reading wrong

I got my widebandinstalled and working. At idle it reads 17.2 or ---. At accelerationit will read 16. something to ---. At deaccell it will read 13. something to 14. something. Whats the deal?

Is this reading coming through the gauge or link? And you're positive you have it hooked up correctly? Where in the exhaust is the sensor?

Yes Im sure its installed correctly(at least I hope it is) The readings are from the gauge. I have the sensor half way between the cat/test pipe and flex section.

Have you checked for exhaust leaks at all? Thing is, on decel the ECU cuts fuel so it should be maxes out until the RPM is low enough that it kicks the injectors on and it's usually around 1400 RPM or so.

Shouldnt be a exhaust leak everything exhaust wise is brand new but the o2 and mani. I can recheck the bolts to make sure . Anyone close to me wanna come help with it next weekend? I lack knowlege in this factor in cars. This whole tuning and gauges is something I'm very new to.

You might be just running that lean at idle.

If you can, get it logging in link. If not, post up an idle log after the car is at operating temperature so we can see what's going on.

Would a log from link help more? How do I ost a log? Ill make a log at idle and driving and see what it says. I also seem to get fuel cut i wanna say once boost builds up( car bogs down) I havent hooked my boost gauge to a vac source yet(as you see in video). Im also vented with 3" GM Maf

I know how to record a log but how can I post itup here?

You do it just as if you were uploading a picture, using the "Upload Picture" thing from the Go Advanced section of replying.

Ohh almost forgot....i see in the DTS or what everit was it says injector malfunction???

Let's start by grabbing an idle log after the car is at operating temperature. Add these values to your log:
-MAFRaw
-CombinedFT
-LTFT Hi
-LTFT Lo
-STFT
-ISC Position

Let's start with that and see what's going on. The main thing I noticed is your MAFComp is not adjusted at all and it definitely will need to be with a GM MAF.



Also, check your DTC tab as you have an 0041 Injector circuit malfunction code being thrown.

I have my Mafcomp set to GM 3.5. How do I add the others to log?

Yes, I see that the MAFComp screen is set up properly, but there are no adjustments made to the sliders which will be a necessary evil to having a GM MAF.

Go to Edit > Captured Values and add them there. Then go to Edit > Displayed Values and make sure they're added to the display as well. The Captured Values part must be done with the computer hooked up to the car.

i believe your car has a vacum/boost leak. whats the last few things youve fixed/touched

most recent fixes/changes were GM maf, all my gauges getting installed. Running way lean could be do to code 41 which Im guess bad injector(getting upgrades soon). Im goingto attempt a BLT tomorrow but all depends on weather.

with the car running pull on injector pigtail off at a time to figure out which one is the problem the injector is stuck closed that could be the cause of all your problems

Your front o2 is not cycling, which could be a cause to the issue.

If this is actually a problem, that WILL cause your wideband to read lean, if you are firing on only 3 cylinders.

A vacuum leak causes you to run slightly lean at part throttle, and very rich under boost.
