2G Wideband Grounding wire?

Is it safe for the ecu if I ground my MTX wideband ground wire to pin 13 on my 2g?

Is it safe for the ecu if I ground my MTX wideband ground wire to pin 13 on my 2g?

If that pin on the schematic goes straight to ground I would rather find the junction and ground there or elsewhere, in the unlikely event the gauge unit has a failure it could potentially short that pin and backfeed into other circuits in the ecu causing uwanted damage in the ecu or other components etc.. Just my opinion on the matter, its just too easy to find another ground source.

I agree. I would recommend finding a ground isolated from the ecu.

^ These guys are right I'd use a chassis grounding point. But I think pin 13 is the ecu chassis ground not sensor. So it probably wouldn't hurt if that's the case. Thought I'd share this to explain more https://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/blownsensorground
