I had been putting off posting in here for a few days so I could search out a solution and I haven't found one yet so here goes. One night while out cruisin after work I jumped onto my off ramp for home and just pushed the car around the turn with the throttle. All of a sudden I was bucking and jumping and had a cel. So I let off and coast to the light and the car went back to normal. It didn't do it again for a few days so I didn't think much of it but then I hit a bump and the car bucked and died! I sat there for 5 minutes with the negative cable undone to clear the count and it started right up and ran fine. The problem is that now it seems worse as it comes and goes and trying to keep it started after this happens is getting on my nerves. I've done the boost leak test and have none and the compression is 150 across the board. This really pisses me of since I just spent $1800 for a head and don't want to ruin it.

Well does it only do it when you turn hard? I know when I turn really hard with less then a 1/4 tank the gas pump cuts out, resulting in the feeling of hitting a brick wall at 80 mph.

Yeah how much gas is in the tank? My car cuts out when on the highway, going uphill, with about an 1/8th of a tank left.

I'm not sure if 2g's do the same thing but on a 1g when the CEL comes one on and goes away it is still stored in the ECU. You could pull the ECU codes to see if it is stored and maybe that will give you a starting point for the problem.

I had a full tank at the time. I'll try to recreate the problem to get the cel and get it read. I hope I can get it started after that though. I think it may be electrical so I'll also check the plug wires, coil, and possibly fuel pump.

The battery is strapped down with electrical tape on the connectors. Now I can get the car to run but as soon as I go to take off I hear a click under the center console and Its good night car. I think it may be the ecu so I'm gonna take it out and look for leaking caps. All the other electrical stuff looks good and tested well. I'll post back soon.

I give. Car is going to satan for diagnostics as I can't find the problem and It won't stay started long enough to run for a code pull.

After sitting on my problem over the holiday and going through DSM talk I will take a look at my O2 sensors and ECU.
