Hello, I have a 95 N/T talon and all of a sudden yesterday while driving the engine starting jerking and when at red lights i looked at the idle and it would rev a little on it's own. Also while driving, you can feel the engine jerking , but it is worser when accelerating from a stop. I went to precision tune today and they said that it is the spark plug wires and maybe the valve cover gasket.....Does this sound right to you guys? If it does how hard is it to install the spark plugs and new wires because they are quoting me 75 for the wire thing. Let me know what you guys think

mine is doing the same thing.....someone said the injector plug, but i dunno where they are or how to check them. ...i have just bought a new gasket and i am about to change that this weekend. let u know what happens.

I'm have no idea what a valve cover gasket would have to do with any engine stuttering/jerking you're having. As far as bad plug wires go, you can do that on your own. Plug wires go for around $35-40 at Autozone and stuff. Plug replacement requires a spark plug socket, a socket ratchet, and a 12" extension, all available at Autozone too.

Personally, I'd get a second opinion, because these guys sound like they're jerking you around.

With my exprience with injectors, you would have a sputtering at acceleration. At idle it would just die. Throw a injector cleaner in. I would put my own wires in, dont pay someone. It take 15 minutes. If you have never replaced them then just do it. And do yourself a favor aand buy ngk plug and v power plugs. Have you replaced your o2 sensor? It also could be your map sensor, tps, or even a simple vaccuum leak.

Well I went to autozone yesterday and bought ultra spark wires and bosch platinum+2 spark plugs and just put them in today, and now the engine is back in perfect condition. I guess it was overdo for new spark plugs and wires. Hope this helps some of you if your car starts doing this. It is also simple. I have never done it before and was done in 15 minutes.
