Is it weird for my turbo to sound super loud at idel? my exhaust is 3in turbo back, but I can figure why it'd be so loud when its not boosting. There is a wee lil shaft play on the intake side. Another problem that I'm having is I got a mbc w the check valve t. I hooked it up the way the images on this board showd it to be... now the car cuts out when it trys to boost past 10psi. What is going on w my car?

where is the sound coming from the end of the exhaust or engine bay?? if engine bay check for boost leaks. is the shaft play side to side or in and out? explain more in detail whats going on with the car. when it cuts out are you hitting a brick wall or just a misfire? check spark plugs and wires

Car misfires at 10 psi. Falls on its face. I feel like there's no back presure.. only thinkg causing any turbulance is a muffler in the back. Shaft play is side to side. Can't I make a leak detector w a bike pump? Wires are good but stockers plugs look rich .

O I think vac is normal. Neg 30 throttle closed, an sound comes from exhaust. Ud swear the turbo was sitn in the muffler sometimes.

No it's not normal for your turbo to sound loud at idle. This can be indicative of excessive play or otherwise dying turbo.

When I had a T25, and it started to get "loud" I knew I had a nice boost leak.

With the boost leak you likely have, the (possibly dying) turbo is working overtime to provide the requested boost. When you see 10psi on the gauge, the turbo is pumping 20psi. Your car is trying its best to fuel accordingly, and flooding the engine with fuel. When the ECU floods the engine at 10psi, the car sputters and feels like it loses power.

sorry it took so long to update, ive had the car on the rack every day since that post. but some issues are resolved. the turbo thro the exhaust was the alt going out. the bearing was bad and it was randomly full fielding. anyways idk why it harmonicd out the back..... anyways resolved.
but the car is still running bad an falling on its face. i finaly got to look at it w a scanner. the ecu is pulling fuel into the motor, id guess the cars getn 13mpg. but i seen the front o2 sensor was reading 1.27 on a straight line, not going up an down in voltage readings. so im guessn my o2 is bad. i understand a o2 being bad will give u bad gas milage but really make the car run this bad? ecu also through a presure sensor code? how can i check this sensor?
also on accident i left the mafs unpluged. car runs great on boost. but horrible with out it

I'd swap your o2 sensor, if it still reads the same it sounds like your ecu is runnng in an open loop condition. Check all your connections, mine did the same thing and I had a bad o2 plug.
