i bought an eclipse, and started putting almost all greddy parts on the car because #1 i always loved there exhausts and #2 i was under the impression that it doesn't get much better then Greddy. After reading many an artical comparing parts, (FMIC, BOV, Exhaust, ect...) Over and over again people choose some other brand over greddy and say to stay away from greddy specificly. My question is why is it so bad to have a greddy part vs. some other brand, and why should i STAY AWAY from greddy?

Greddy makes good stuff but it is over priced. If you are wanting to spend a lot more money on your car than you need go with Greddy.

The only two Greddy products I would stay away from are:
1. Full Auto Turbo Timer: If your battery dies the Turbo Timer will malfunction and display garbage characters. I was able to fix mine eventually by pressing random buttons.
2. ProfecB Spec II Boost Controller: I have heard of lots of issues with consistent boost control. Some have reported improvements during a full moon or after eating Taco Bell. I recommend the original ProfecB, although you can't brag you have the latest one.

DAMN. I have both of those in my car.

I agree with the Turbo Timer. It sucks! The Profec B Spec 2 is a pain to learn and adjust but I can live with it.

My Profec-B II is just about the best thing that I bought for my car. It is very consistent and I think it is a great bang for buck ebc. People are probaby just have problems b/c they don't know how to set it up correctly.

Mine has been great. My battery has gone out many times (on its own and of my doing), and it’s all good. Maybe you got a lemon? (*cough usererror *cough)

The Greddy EVO is my all time favourite exhaust. I like the Profec e-01 in my Eclipse far better than the Apexi Super AVC-R in my Talon as far as boost controllers go. No complaints about my Greddy FMIC either.

The old ProfecB was discontinued in the US when the SpecII was released, so RRE changed their page to the SpecII (it used to have the original). Due to reported problems with the SpecII, Greddy has re-released the original ProfecB as the ProfecB Type-S with upgraded performance-enhancing shiny knobs

You can see the new ones under Electronics at http://www.greddy.com/ :thumb:

i love greddy electronics, apexi parts
