ok, 98 GST, i have a T28 and some other mods and about 3 months ago i ran a STI down the interstate and he wasnt pullin away very hard at all....now the other day a little civic with just a exhaust....i talked to him and that is all that he had, i ran him from a roll and didnt pull away very quickly at all (i had my girl in the car and she even noticed that it was slower)...it does feel like i have lost a decent hunk of power, im not sure where but plan to do a vacuum leak test tomorrow.....any other ideas???

Thanks :dsm:

update:.....i didnt get a chance to pressure test but i will tomorrow....i was driving today and i pushed the gas peddle down very slowly so it built up to 17 pounds on the interstate and i was boostin at 17 pounds and the car was not gaining but a tiny tiny tiny amount of speed

update:....wow, can we say boost leak city....i am surprised that my turbo even spooled, i was leaking from the BOV flange, UICP to the TB elbow, the little screw on the top of the TB, and one more tiny leak that i still cannot figure out from where it is coming

Sorry to ressurect this thread, but i have a similar problem... kinda

For as long as i have had my car(and the mbc/boost gauge to see it with) the turbo can only hold 12 psi. Its the stock t25 and i know it sucks, but everyone says it will hold 15psi till 4-5k or so then it drops off.

However mine will push hard up to 15psi, and then drop down and hold at 12psi. no matter what rpm im at or what gear im in, sound like a boost leak? makes sense to me but im not sure.

id be happy your holding 12 psi. when i had my t-25 i set it at 17 psi for shits and giggles and it would drop below 12 before redline consistantly. what a ghey little turbo.

I haven't read your profile but if your still running the stock bov thats why it can't make any more boost. stock 2g bov's suck and leak

quick question: finding the leaks sounds easy enough, but how are you supposed to plug/fix them? replace the piece that's leaking? just curious if there's an easy temporary way until i can get new UICP pipes
