I had and still have an ACT 2600lb PP and clutch in my car. Turns out I cracked the disc and shot some springs. When I did that I got the tranny rebuilt. SBR said the PP was fine so they put it back in the car with there disc. I've gone maybe 3,000 miles and its going though the same problems the other one did. Why do the springs come out on a clutch disc? I read possible misaligned tranny, or clutch fork maybe or was it the pressure plate? There a way to tell? I'm not a drive train genius, i just have a good idea how everything works. Im looking at the devo twin disc setup now just to replace it all and have a sweet setup. But tell me, why 2 clutch failures?

Oh before I forget what my car does now....
I was driving recently and while driving it wouldn't go into gear, then a couple min later the thing would shift like butter. It kept getting worse to the point where I would go to put it in gear and it wouldn't go in all the way but the car would start moving forword with the clutch pedal all the way down. The car is being tore apart now by somewhere else besides sbr, but I haven't heard anything back yet.

Because they're cheap junk. I've noticed that the area where the springs are held in is just cutout of bent metal on the hub area. Why can't clutch manufacturers use more material to hold in the springs??? It beats me. Also, on some discs the springs are to damn soft, especially if you have stiff motor mounts.
