I searched and found negative and positive feedbacks on Ebay turbos. Someone who had good experience with Ebay turbos please give me the the Ebay ID so I know who to buy turbo from.
Thanks

SSA/ XS POWER glue their turbo's together.

i would be curious to see if you have any proof to back this up? I have a very hard time believing that these ebay vendors GLUE their turbos together and still manage to have 98/99% positive feedback. i highly doubt any of these turbos compare to the real thing in terms of reliability but to say EVERY ebay turbo falls apart hours after startup is pretty rediculous, which is exactly what would happen if it was glued together.

Very well said DSMclipse97, I believe some people have bias against those turbos becuase of one so called person said it has been glued. Show me proof and not some pic that everybody has seen. I want first hand experience not some guy saying (My friends turbo did BLAH BLAH BLAH)... Not trying to start anything and not talking smack to anybody just show me proof. Not second hand info...

What are you talking about ? Do you have a T3 manifold and actually running with T3/T4 turbo ? If not then don't give comment here.
I am the one who actually running with an Ebay T3 manifold and Garrett T3/T4 turbo. Everything fits just like stock parts. Do you need me to post pics here to prove ?
Again, anybody who does not have an Ebay turbo set up will not know exactly what is gonna happen when you install it. So don't scare people because it is Ebay's turbo kit.

Im not running a ebay turbo, but I am running a t4 turbo with a new manifold, wastegate,o2 housing, oil lines, slim fans, intake, air filter. So yeah I do have experience.I had to custom make an 02 housing for my exhaust to work.In your other post in the other thread where a guy bought the same kit you said you had to take it to a shop for them to make it work for you.So dont say it all fits like stock parts cause it doesnt. You said you only need a t3 mani and everything else will bolt right on.WTF You said nothing fit and hit your oil filter housing. You also said the wastegate hit your starter:confused: .I just dont want other peopel thinking they can buy a 200 dollar t3 turbo off ebay and throw it right on cause you cant. Here is the other thread for reference. http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243830

I finally decided to take the risk and bought a T3/T4 57trim from drift-pros on ebay. Here is the link to it :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...8035457&rd=1,1

That seller sold many turbos like this and got all good feedbacks on the turbos. I hope this one will not fail on me. I will put it on and leave my feedback here so everybody know how an Ebay turbo is.

After you get your turbo and have it up and running i would love to hear your feedback on how it holds up. It would be nice to get some first hand opinions on how the ebay turbos do instead of "my brother's dad's buddy's friend's told me that they blow up." some hard evidence instead of the guesses and secondhand "advice" like this:

My buddy got one of those 50 trim knockoff ebay brands, it didn't last 45 minutes. It siezed up. It seemed like it came with bad seals. leaking oil right after installation. Garbage.

The question was asked is " Will the Ebay T3/T4 turbo bolt on the Ebay T3 manifold without any modification or any kit ?".
I said yes, it will bolt right on. But I did not guarantee that everything will fit Ok.
The only thing will bolt on like stock is the manifold and the turbo not the O2 housing nor the downpipe.

There is an Ebay seller that sells a 16g with 12 month unlimited mileage warranty. When I asked him some questions about the warranty here is what he said :"Dear Customer:
There is no Profesional Installation needs, we only require some picture of the problems(Turbo is sitting in the right position and still a problem) then you just e-mail us the picture and we will replace a new one for you. Thanks!!"
Anyone have any experience with a JNE Power turbo yet?"

I just got a 57trim turbo from drift-pros (Ebay seller) today.
It looks good from outside. Here is my comments:

- Compressor wheel: Not as sharp as Garrett which I had before
- Turbin ewheel: as good as Garrett
- Compressor housing: Not as smooth as Garrett (mine was chrome finish)
- Turbo core, oil lines, tubine housing: look as good as Garrett.

* By just looking at it, I cannot find any thing look like the compressor housing was glued together. I will take the turbo all apart on this Thursday and post pics here.

That would be great.. i would love to hear an actual ebay turbo review instead of just another bash thread. Keep us posted

many of those companies can maintain high percentage of positive feedback because they close down old names once people catch on and start new ones. Hell SSAC has had three names since i first heard of them.

I have seen dozens of these parts come through the shop and they are crap. If you want to waste your money to try to do things the easy and cheap way then you get to deal with whatever comes from it.

best of luck to all of you.

It has 1 year warranty !

a warranty is only as good as the issuer bro. Try getting a hold of these guys in a couple of months and see what they do about it.

Also, think about it like this.....

turbo's don't exactly just slide off in a few minutes. What do you do when it fails and you have all this down time. While i know you run the same risks with any other product you have the piece of mind knowing that the product is tried, proven and true.

I asked around before I buy the turbo from this seller. Buyers from this seller answered me that they have used the turbo for couple months and it is still boosting great. They are running at 20psi of boost.
In my case, I just wanna do 11psi constantly for couple years before I have enough money to rebuild my engine so it should be fineeeeeee......... :)

I uploaded 2 pics but I cannot see them any where. I tried to delete them but there is no such option in my UserCP. Can somebody show me how to upload pics and share them here ?
Thanks

I took the turbo apart and had a close look at every parts. They look fine to me. Like I mentioned before, the compressor wheel is not as sharp as Garrett and the compressor plate is not smooth either. But good new is the compressor housing is NOT glued together like everybody think it is. The turbine housing and turbine wheel look awsome.
I will try it on late today to see if it blow up before my eyes or not LOL

*** I already took many pictures but still can't upload and share them here :(

I would never take a chance on an important part like a turbo. You want to buy from a place that tests and build proven turbos. Not an ebay knock off who just copys a turbo, uses cheaper materials and then never even tests the turbo. Ive seen exhuast housings crack on the first start up after it cooled.
