Go here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226424 and see where to download the Mitsubishi CAPS program. Once you learn how to use the program, you will be able to find the part numbers for all those "little OEM pieces".

With the part numbers, you can get prices. Read through the posts in this thread again. Several good vendors, that give a DSM discount, have already been posted.

Ahh, that's what I need. I've been searching for a while to download caps, but the post you sent didn't come up in the search. I'm downloading the file right now.

Shouldnt' this be a FAQ thread? One clearly labelled "Where to download the CAPS program" and something about OEM Parts? I know it'd help me. I hate calling up the dealer, describing one piece, waiting for 10 minutes while they find it, then them telling me one plastic piece is $10 and they're out of stock.

That is why I like Rockville Mitsubishi. Once you set up your online account, you can look up the prices and availability of any part number yourself and place the order online. I haven't had to call in a long time. If all my parts are in stock, I see the package within 2 - 3 days.

I hope you enjoy CAPS. Let me know if you need any help with it.

https://www.mitsubishiparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html these guys are the cheapest I have found. They have 2 catalogs to choose from. It takes awhile to really figure out exactly where everything is in them. They will also have an IPB(illistrated parts brakedown) next to alot of the stuff on there so, you can see exactly what you are getting. Another place is www.mitsubishi-parts-dealer.com pretty much the same thing but located on the eastcoast while the first one is in washington state.
By the way, they sell evoIII exhaust manifolds for MR224509 $143.53 MANIFOLD,EXHAUST and the evoIII O2 housing for MR224847 $78.75 FITTING,T/C EXHAU . Now that is almost 50% lower than most shops sell them for.

I need a ton of stock mits. parts and the dealer screws me on prices I was wondering if anyone knows of a place to get stock parts for cheap. I know ebay but Im not a big fan of that.

local junkyard usually have some stock parts around. you can check that out they are used parts though obviously.

Machv.com seems to have a bit of oem parts onsite . Also if you look into Car-parts.com . It is a junkyard database nationwide . If you know exact names of items needed it will cross reference all compatible models . :thumb:

where do i find new bolts and nuts for the front bumper, headlights, and other misc. things....the bolts and srews i have now are all rusted and old and i want to change them..

For things such as nuts and bolts on applications such as body parts and such, just go to your local hardware shop or bodyshop with a few of the old ones, and get a box of similar ones. Going to a junkyard for those parts will most likely yield you with more rusty bolts and screws.

For other major parts, or more important bolts for the turbocharger, manifold, etc, I'd rec. looking around the supporting vendors.

If you paid $20 for a Mitsubishi alternator belt for a 1998 GST, you got a good deal. I just paid $26.83 after a 30% DSM discount from Rockville Mitsubishi. The alternator belt that JNZ Tuning is selling for $7.90 is not the same part number as the one for our 1998 GST's. Maybe the alternator belts are different from the early 2G's and the later 2G's. Hope that makes you feel better.

Mike

You are correct. They are not the same part # (the ones that we sell).

That's the advantage of being both an enthusiast and working in the Mitsu parts industry for almost 10 years now---knowing the cheap part #s. ;-)

Both belts will work, measure the same, just have different part #s. The difference is the part #s and....the price.

It's the same with a lot of other things with Mitsubishi (but even after 10 years, I can't explain it) like the turbo to manifold bolts. The 1G and 2G bolts are the EXACT same length, pitch, yadda-yadda, however, the 2G part # is $1.00 or more cheaper per bolt.

I have to pay for parts for my own cars, so I've looked into this stuff over the years and pass it on to my customers. ;-)
