I've actually never had to deal with a boost leak oddly enough but my car seems to be whistling whenever I get on it. The stock boost gauge doesn't drop or anything and the car doesn't feel like its losing power. Just a high pitched whistle. It does it when it's cold I know for sure but I don't think it does it once if gets warmed up. Would that be a cracked exhaust manifold or some sort of exhaust gasket?

Not sure.
I haven't heard a DSM do it personally but my buddy's stock Regal T does it all the time from like 60kph+ at WOT. Same with another buddy's not stock GN. So I've never thought anything of it.
Could be a leak though.

A leak test never hurt. I suggest also checking the turbo for shaft play and make sure it's not scrapping against the wall.

I suggest buying a boost guage.

you can't leak test IMO without one. At least not properly.

And the "happy turbo indicator" is not a boost gauge.
