I have a little over $500 right now. My car is stock except for boost and a/f gauge...i REALLY want to buy the apexi n1 exhaust...but i also wanna get intercooler piping/cone filter/bov...since those 3 things cost as much as the n1...i dont know which to buy first, those three mods, or the n1- thanx for ur help. :dsm:

where can i get them together from, i know someone who ordered the pair from RRE...do you think those two things will be more beneficial and a better first mod than the piping/intake/bov???? :dsm:

not gonna be able to find the n1 DP and catback for 500 i wouldnt suspect, unless you get it used...i just got a deal on the catback alone at it was 465...

aj

Yeah, you cannt get both for 500. I am ordering an apexi n1 today, and will get a downpipe soon...does only the n1dp fit onto the n1 catback? are there any other dp's that are better than the n1(that can fit the n1 catback):dsm:

not to be a thread stealer or anything, but i would just go ahead and get the n1 DP if you are getting the n1 catback, their DP is good too, and you are guaranteed a good fit :thumb: thats what i will be getting soon hopefully :dsm:

im getting my apexi cat back soon and also looking at test pipe. I'll worry about the DP later

definitely go with the exhaust first...unless of course u wanna bring more air in then have it just stop when it his ur exhaust pipes?

exactly. I went the other route. I have more air coming so now im working on getting it out.

yea i have the same problem got the turbo spoolin up just seems to slow down letting it out...i need catback cat n downpipe for cheap im tryin to find evo or apexi ni for about 600...off topic but does anyone kno if there coming out with greddy evo2 (stainless steel) exhaust for 2g turbos??

I think the biggest bang for the buck I had early on was the upper i/c with 1g BOV. I'd do that with a filter and an manual boost controller. Of course those leave some money left over...

why would u wanna get more air flow when its got no where to go...its like blowin up a small a$$ balloon...upgrade to a bigger balloon n then u can blow up all the air u want to it...just an analogie for the thick heads...go with exhaust man u kno its the right thing to do...maybe the uicp is the best bang of the buck but sometimes u gonna get other stuff done b4 u do the best bang for the buck things...either way good luck with ur choice man

Exhaust, one of the best ways to help your car/turbo run efficiently.

Exhaust=car can breathe better=more power

The other things you can find pretty cheap if you look hard enough.

at least get the n1 DP first, stock DP is less than a quarter inch at some points. you'll get a good amount of power (for about 200 dollars), boost faster, etc
only problem would be that it gets rid of the cat..so if you want to pass emissions you'll have to get another downpipe

ill get the ic piping and bov, sounds a lot better than exhausts. also toss in intake so you can hear the spool :D

get the exhaust piping done in the longer run, also toss in either evo iii o2housing or port job for your o2housing with the dp.

I use to have a UICP, Intake, KandN, MBC and i still have my cat back and without the MBC you dont feel much gain until relaly high RPMS. So whether you choose intake or exhaust first...is a personal preference. Beucase i assume you will do the other one next. you probably wont need the UICP becuase if your serious about this you will upgrade toa diff intercoler and it may be routted diff. Cheers. BTW) boost controllers are what makes u feel the most diff.
