I'm getting kyb gr2 shocks and wanted to know which spring will be better for overall performance/good driveability, H&R springs or eibach prokit

I installed a set of H&R's on a 90 AWD and loved the way they rode. H&R's all the way :)

Forgot to say, they were on GR2's...

I have had both the Prokit and the H&R OE Sports on my 2G. The Eibach's are softer and the car had a more comfortable ride (relatively speaking). The OE Sport's made the ride more harsh (nothing else changed on the setup) but the handling is much tighter. I prefer the H&R's.

Again, this is on my 2G so take it FWIW since you have a 1G.

One question I have is what H&R Springs are you considering purchasing? You specified Pro-kits from eibach, which should give you about a 1.3 inch drop, and a very nice improvement in handling. Let us know which H&R's you are looking at, and then we can give you a better answer.

Sigh.... 2G guy....

They only make the Sport springs for the 1G's..... its the PERFECT drop.

Applications || H&R Special Springs, LP

I never had H&R's but, I did have Eibach pro's with stock struts and the ride was very good. The handling was great and very comfortable for lowering springs.

H&R's are very nice for track use, but not so forgiving for the daily driver. I ended up swapping over the the bach's just for something less roughing on my body mass. Also tonight I just drove a mustang with the HR setup and realized what driving a stiff boat feels like.

I have the Prokit on my 2g and it rides great. Gives a good drop, handles well, and rides very smooth. Mine are paired with Tokiko Illuminas and are on the softest setting at the moment. But when I turn it to the hardest setting, there is relatively 0 body roll. It handles very well.

I had the KYB Struts and H&R springs on my gst and it rode pretty well, but was a lot more unforgiving than the 2g. It gave it a good drop, and did pretty well with weight transfer, but I would rather have the ride the 2g gives. Hope this helps.
