I bought a rebuilt 6 bolt short block and i pulled the pan to make sure everything was ok. It was supposed to have arp main studs, but has stk bolts. No biggie, they will hold up to the power im planning on making(350-400awhp). I pulled a main cap to check the brgs and crank. Now i need to r-torque the mains. I've searched and searched and can't find any specs. I bought a haynes manual and it says tq to 18ft/lbs and then turn another 90 deg. Are these tq-to-yeild bolts??? If so, then i need to replace them since i broke them loose??? Autozone checked in their computer and it says to tq to 47-51 ft/lbs! Now i'm confused. Does anyone know of the proper specs???
