which fmic for a fp EVOIII

I definitely say go for the 7" Extreme Intercoolers kit. I will be running an Evo 3 too, and this is the kit that I plan on going with, it's about a perfect fit for that turbo. My friend also has an ETS kit and I must say that it looks amazing, very well made, it fits together easily and the price is right.

According to your mod list your probably going to lose BOOST in that FMIC you want. Before the turbo why not do injectors, hard intake piping, boost controller, and an AFC or dsm link. You run the risk of over running the fuel system in your stock car with a big turbo like that, and without the other mods, your gonna lag, and that fmic is gonna make it worse, stick with the side mount for now, and mod for that turbo.

If you can afford it, get the SBR one, i had the greddy 24r then switched to the short route sbr one, wow huge difference.

Hi,

I alredy have some 550cc injectors. hard intake piping is also comming from fp, I've got a boost controller and an AFC. I will be installing everything together.

Don't you think the sbr is to big for that kind of small turbo?

Thanks

Mike

I think that the SBR one is a bit too big for the Evo 3, but then again, MitsuclipseGSX has an Evo 3 under his mods and the SBR kit seemed to work great for him. So, I dunno. I'd still suggest the ETS kit like I said before, because I think it will be plenty for the Evo 3, but that's me.

i would personally go with the biggest fmic like the sbr. i have a 24x9x3 with my 14b and i don't see any noticable increase in lag than with the stock sidemount. eventually you are probably going to want to upgrade to a bigger turbo so why not get a fmic once and not have to waste money and upgrade later.

Going bigger will not cause you any problems per se, but if you don't plan on going bigger than an Evo III then the cheapest one (7") will be fine for that application. You can spend the extra money on a fuel pump or save up for cams.

Right now I have the extreme ic 7'' Street kit. Along with the 14b. After installing it, in 3rd gear 10psi felt like 15. I noticed a big difference from my SMIC. And 18+psi is fun too. On their website it says can hanfle 450whp? Unless your going bigger than 16G the 7'' is great.
Install was quite straight forward too.
