ok I have read the other forums and mostly about 1g or 2gnon turbo and was wondering which intake is going to be more ideal to buy. I live in AZ dont get to much rain besides monsoons but i have a 98 gst turbo and do not know what intake I should buy. In the DSM Marketplace their are 2 intakes im looking at really which are the Dejon Tool CIP-2gS Intake or the Dejon Tool CIP-2gM.. Does anyone have any comments one these two or any other recommendations for a good intake but still around $100 price range about.. thanks

Both are good, but you have a multitude of choices, from Forced Performance, Bullseye, Greddy, Dejon, Injen, Ebay-type. Which are all under 100$ (some you'll need to find used). I like my Greddy personally, but it'll mostly depend on the turbo you are running. Some of these intakes are made bigger at the end to accommodate larger turbo inlets. I'd also suggest getting one with the BOV recirculation fitting.

ok well im looking for a new intake and i my car is pretty much stock besides a exhaust system but all the intakes i been finding are about $250. But yes i plan on keeping stock turbo for a while so just something that fits that and is nice. Does it matter if it is a short ram or no?

Why do you want to replace the stock snorkel?
Where are you seeing "short ram" intakes for our car?

I'd suggest something like this or the Dejon you quoted with all the fittings. If you have a stock car, you'll need all the hookups (valve cover/CC/boost solenoid (well that one you can do without)/BOV recirculation) It's just a pipe when everything is said and done. T-25 (your stock turbo) will fit perfect with a Dejon or an Injen in terms of opening size.

But I do agree with Abist, you don't necessarily need it. Looks nice though :p

to just add some more hp and make it look nice. Instead of the stock one collecting dust and stains on it from previous owner

All those hook ups

If you look at what Absit linked to, you'll see that all those fittings are on those pipes, just like on your stock snorkel. It's the fittings on the side of the pipe which enable you to hook your stock lines to the pipe.

You just swap the hoses from the old snorkel to the new pipe..
It even comes with a few hoses, though I didn't use any of them because they're rice as hell.
Their couplers suck too, but they work.

ok so nothing else attached basically make it simple to say haha.... than i still have some extra money to spend any ideas what to get either a BOV or ....?

When was your timing belt last changed?
Trans, tcase, and diff fluid?
Coolant?
PS fluid?
Brakes fluid and pads?

brakes and all fluid i just did yesterday timeing belt a couple months ago so all maintance ben good. I have had my car for over a year and money issues just got done fully maintaining my car for now haha but its up to date as of right now. Now to make it go faster haha

ya i have a K&N filter on my car right now but looking to get a BOV i think i have my mind set as any recommendations?

A boost gauge.

In fact, buy that before you buy the intake pipe.
And then buy a wideband unit.

And then buy something to log/tune with.

And THEN buy your intake pipe.

OK whats a wideband or what does it do? i keep hearing about it and for tuning it be better to go to a shop and get it tuned or buy a kit so i can do it myself?

Ask google what a wideband is, I'm not a science teacher.
And tuning, that depends on how smart, careful, and resourceful you are.

ok got it understand it all and last touch for future any recomendations on BOV that you guys have loved for kinda cheap?
