Looking to buy a dual fan shroud for my 1g but having a hard time choosing which one just some of your opinions will be helpful. Should I go with the mishimoto brand thats 189.00 or should go with a ebay one thats 96.00 shipped. These are the specs for the ebay one. 100% brand new, Never been tried or installed
Aluminum Fan Shroud: Bolt on replacement with no midification
Overall size: 27" (L) x 16.25" (H) x 3.5" (W)
Electric Slim Fan in Black color, CFM ratio: 1550 / RPM: 2250

I have no experience with mishimoto so I can't say anything there. But I have had some dissatisfying experiences with "the cheapest one on eBay" fans and radiators. It wasn't my money, car or choices in parts, I was just putting it together. I'm not saying it is all cheap inferior products, but there is some on there. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Unless space is an issue, I love the factory ones. They bolt/plug in, work well, and are cheap to replace should the heat from the Turbo get the best of them.

Id go with the Bolt on direct replacement, and if it does not fit then your covered by the ebay buyers protection because it says its a direct fit.

If you get a fan shroud you half to think what's gana happen when one fan turns on? It will suck a lot of air from the other fans side that is not spinning because they are not both on unless you have your ac on. I have an eBay one and it's decent, I don't have ac so I just keep all fans running all the time due to my engine running hot. I wish they put a center section to separate where the two fans are pulling.
