fan shroud bolts

So I need to replace my radiator fan (started to melt) but how do you get the fan shroud off? there are the four bolts holding it on but there are these stupid metal clips around each one so the bolt just spins but does not come out. I think im just being stupid and missing something here but I can't figure it out i'll post a pic.

I think you pull the fan as you un screw?

That is how I think you get them out I pull on the corner of the fan of that bolt that I'm unscrewing sorry

can you pull the clip out? or is the bolt tied to them?

nah i got it, that bolt just had all the threads stripped off in the middle, just made for a pain in the a$$ to get out but i got it thank god. car still gets hot if i get on it a lot, so im thinking about cutting some vents into my head and wrapping my manifold. what do you guys think?

wrapping it would help.. a heat shield would help too beacuse it looks like you dont have one from the picture you posted
