I have searched everywhere for an oil restrictor. The only place I have found one is on ebay. Im looking for a -4an female to -4an male with a .070 restriction.
I cant believe that no one sells these but ONE guy on ebay who NEVER responds to private messages. He sells them in .040", i wrote him and he has .075" also. I asked him how to purchase it, no response. It has been 5 days, I wrote him 5 PM's. No response. :banghead:

I know I could buy the .040 and drill it out, but why should I when he sells the size I need. Plus after dealing with his unprofessionalism by not responding, I would rather not give him my money if I could find it elsewhere.

Do any of the vendors on here sell them?
Or can any of the vendors on here get them?

I went to summit, jegs, anplumbing.com, and a number of other sites. They have everything but what Im looking for.

I already have the fitting coming out of the FP Green to a -4an. Now I want to put a restrictor fitting on top of that one, then my feed line. Stacking the fittings will give me clearance to run the feed line over the compressor cover.

I just cant believe that only one person sells these, he has to be getting them from somewhere else.
Any help?

did you try extremepsi.com? they are close enough to you that you can drive there and pick it up. about 1.5-2 hours but if you need it that bad its not to bad..

I have deleted my balance shafts and am feeding from the OFH, 100psi is too much pressure for a journal bearing.

I dont want the FP filter, Im aware I could go that route, but I already have a setup in mind that I want to do.

I dont think you guys are understanding what Im getting at. I know that I can buy a smaller restrictor and drill it out, I dont want to though. I shouldnt have to. Someone out there makes what Im looking for because this dude on ebay is selling them. I dont want to make more work for myself when I could just buy the right part.

I just cant believe that out of all the vendors out there and all the people running journal bearing turbos fed from the OFH that no one sells restrictors for them...

Who are you to talk down to me for wanting to buy a part instead of making more work for myself. I have enough to do, and YOUR whats wrong with this community by leaving negative comments. If you dont have anything nice to say, stop typing.

There are actually a lot of people out there who buy the smaller restrictor and drill it them selves. It takes a whole 2 minutes a drill and a bit.

Well that's some poor mentality.

Every turbo has different oil requirements, every car generates different oil pressure. Oil pressure will even vary by brand/type/weight of oil.

That in mind, it's pretty much impossible for there to be one restrictor to work with each and every turbo aside from the ball bearing units which Garrett requires a low-pressure source and a .030"-.040" restrictor.

Understand your engine's oil pressure, understand your turbo's requirements- drill your restrictor to give your turbo the maximum amount of oil without exceeding the manufacturer's maximum pressure spec. Simple.

I understand that people buy drill bits and drill it out to the size they need. I apologize for wanting to buy a part and not have to modify it.
I thought that maybe I would be able to post this and have someone give me a link to the exact fitting im looking for. But instead I get a bunch of nasty responses telling me what I already know.
I dont disrespect people on here, and to be honest, its sucks to see such ignorance on these boards. People used to be polite.

Your the one who told me .075 will work fine, so that's why I was trying to order it.
Just close this thread, I cant believe im being attacked for not wanting to drill out a restrictor. Ridiculous.

That is correct- a .075" restrictor is what is used on both TD05H and T25 turbos from the factory on our cars. If that's the turbo you're installing, that's likely why I recommended it.

Some Garrett T3 / Holset HX users are running .075" restrictors due to extremely high oil pressure at the filter housing as well, but this may over-restrict on a car with balance shafts because the overall pressure on those setups is lower.

If you're installing a turbo other than something Mitsu-based or a Garrett T25/T28, it's strongly recommended that you check pressure before deciding whether or not you need a restrictor.

I PM'd you about this, told you I have an FP green and asked if I should run a restrictor. You said around .070.
Why should I buy a .040 and a .070 drill bit and take time to do it when I could just buy a .075 and not make work for myself.
But I guess that makes me lazy...

Anyway, I feel like I cant post anything here without being attacked by ignorant people. Im done, thank you to those who helped me.

Next person to make a smart ass comment gets a warning. I've already cleaned up all the crap in this thread. If you want to help Mike, then do so and in a polite fashion (as we require all over this site). If not, close the browser window and move on.

Mike, there's a report post button for a reason. If you feel like you're being attacked/flamed, report it and a mod will take a look at it. Don't take on the task of setting people straight yourself as it just leads to this crap.

Brian,
I have never has this problem before so I didnt know there was a report post button. Im not sure when I wasnt polite here? I held back from what I really wanted to say and kept it as nice as I could.
Thanks.

Here is a link for a unique style restrictor shipping is a little much but get everything you need the first time and well it wouldn't be to bad I guess.

RTM Racing :: MITSUBISHI :: DSM: 2g (95-99) :: Turbo :: Oil Feed, Oil Return, Water Lines :: Oil Feed :: Custom Turbo Restrictor Fitting

Thanks for this thread ive been looking for the same thing with very little luck. I didnt really want to change my entire line setup to run a nitrous jet or add 3-4 fittings to adapt it to my -4an line. I also saw this TURBO OIL RESTRICTOR AN-4 BILLET ALUMINUM | eBay and it would of worked with a little drilling. Also this option would work great as well RTM Racing :: MITSUBISHI :: DSM: 2g (95-99) :: Turbo :: Oil Feed, Oil Return, Water Lines :: Oil Feed :: Custom Turbo Restrictor Fitting without having to add another fitting to my line. I tired going local to find something and after the 3rd performance and hydraulic shop it got old fast.
