where to buy oil lines

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

The best place to buy that type of stuff is from your local hydraulic fittings and supply store. You will have one in your town (I dont care where you live) and they deal in braided lines and JIC fittings all the time. Just go in with your length and fittings you need and they will have it all, trust me.

Don't bother buying that stuff from a store because this is where they buy it from and sell it to you for more money.

hydraulic fittings and supply store? Is that what I wouild search for in the yellow pages? Never heard of a store like that ... can you name 1 just to give me an example? Thanks for your help.

Yup, yellow pages, "hydraulics".

Exactly. They supply lines for high pressure hydraulic press, for automotive hoists, farm equipment etc etc... They will have exactly what you need. I got all my stuff from there. They deal with turbocharged engines all the time too so they will understand what your talking about as well.

Your oil feed line should be -3 (because you will no longer use the factory restrictor) and your return should be at least 1/2 if not larger.

Also try looking for a hose and rubber supply. Thats what is here locally and they have everything I need.

You could even buy some rubber hose fromt hem to make temporary ic piping.

When you order the RS49, just order the lines from us. Our oil feed and drain setup works perfectly for all hybrids.

but do the drain lines bolt up to the pan?

Ours bolts up to everything perfectly. Ask anyone who has used our feed and drain setup, it's the easiest to install and it will never leak.

I got a early drain from you with braided stainless hose (unfinished ends) and the damn thing was evil. I swear, it'd draw blood if my hands came within 6 inches of it. ;)

The regular tubing is a good move.

Only thing i complained about my lines is they came in a diffrent package than my turbo kit, I got scared and thought they didint send them, They showed up the next day though. They all completely work fine and fit perfect

Yep, our early setups had the braded hose until Kevin had to use it on an install. Bloody fingers later, we moved to the regualr hose. :)

yea no offense to you guys ... I bought most of my stuff from you actually. $150 just seems like a lot for 2 lines. ;)

Just as Ben K said you can order from them. If you chose to do it on your own my setup works well but I got the good clamps and had to try about 3 different hoses to get just the right fit. You can save the hassle by buying it already done. Some people don't seem to understand that just because it's a piece of pipe and hose doens't mean its not worth the trouble. After you frig around with 3 fittings, 3 hoses, 8 leaks and other BS related with DIY stuff the premade stuff by the professionals seams somehow cheap.

I'm just a do it myself kinda person so that is why mine is that way. My entire setup is just pieced together and I made my entire exhaust system from the turbo straight back to the muffler myself. Not because our vendors stuff is not good, but this is also what I do for a living so fabricating up my own stuff is cake for me.

You should not need an oil cooler with a larger turbo. Just because it's larger doens't mean it should heat up your oil anymore (it may but would probably be negligable) so the stock setup should be just fine.

You might want to add a couple of copper washers for under the pan flange bolt heads. Those threads are through-and-through, and oil weeping out of them is a common complaint.

I would also recommend the copper washer because i just replaced both of my oil return line gaskets and now its leaking slightly from the oil pan. So now i'm going to have to do it all over again.
