So, I wanna get carbon fiber hood and rear hatch (going to be installing lexan into the rear hatch). And maybe in near future i'll invest in more carbon fiber parts but for now these 2 things is all i'm going to do. If someone can give me a link to a site that sells good quality carbon fiber parts, it would be greatly appriciated. thanks!

Check Ebay Vendors..

I bought mine from there and came out just fine... just make sure to read the descprition carefully

Why going with Lexan? Racecar?

well, i read up on speedglass and it sounds pretty efficient. I also know a local guy who said he can put the lexan in and cover it up the rivets with the moldings of the oem hatch, so i can still pass inspection.

If you plan to daily drive it, i'd reconsider...

I bought my speedglass a whiles back and had it sitting still wrapped in its plastic, one day it tipped over and got a 2inch scratch, made me realize its not as scratch resistant as they say ROFL

The weight is incredibly light and with the CF Hatch, weighed next to nothing, but ended up selling it for less than half of what i bought it for because i realized i didnt want to deal with it

Unless its a racecar, then go for it

Stay away from ebay yea there cheap and yea they work but when it comes to quality they're not that good

Um...........................................

You do realize Vendors sell parts on Ebay from well known carbon fiber co such as VIS, Seibon, Carbon Creations, GTFab and more...

And i hardly see any "Cheap" cf ebay listings :aha:, they're around the same price

Thanks for the info guys. And yes I prefer to stay away from eBay ### I've had some problems with eBay before. And do carbon fiber parts usually bolt right onto the oem part or does it require custom fabrication to make it fit?

I never had any problems with a carbon fiber hood fitting, takes like 5 minutes to do. I never installed a hatch but a carbon fiber trunk took some time to get on correctly. Carbon fiber fenders need a little time to be adjusted on.

Well, like DSM PWR said, if you plan on daily driving it, I'd stay away from speedglass/lexan and stick with the OEM glass due to the defrosters.
