I have a 95 GS-T that i bought without the head. I have the manifolds but nothing for the head. If anyone has a good place to buy from or have had a good experience with please list it and how much you paid.

I have gotten a few quotes from some companies that are around 400$ and one of them only gaurantees the head wont be cracked, and even reccomends having it resurfaced. To me i think that is too much. I would be willing to pay 400$ if i know i am getting a very quality head with a decent warranty.

Also what should i be looking for when buying one?

This is my first dsm so any help would be appreciated. :thumb:

BTW: I would much rather buy a complete head than have to buy all the valves and everything and put it together myself.

you could check ebay, i see a lot of turbo heads for sale on there all the time, most are rebuilt from head companies, such as cylinder heads intl. so im sure you could have some luck on there

Im watching a couple on there right now but I would rather trust going through a company on something as important as this.

yeah i understand what you are sayin, but like i said, some of them that are on there are being sold from trusting companies, some of which have links on this site, i got a head from cylinder heads international, not bad, but i sent it back because it didnt work right, just ended up gettin mine custom built, but you dont have that option, not having a head to begin with

he needs a core for something like that, i guess he could get away without having a core, but he would have to pay extra money in the end since they are using their own cores

no way, i paid 1500 to have my head built, and to find a complete block for under that, they must have been used, and in bad condition or something

Well you said you had trust issues with the heads you found for 400. This one is from a reputable tuner shop and at 799 is not that bad. You want peace of mind you have to pay for it....usually.

1500 OMG

Im not looking for a brand new head, i just want one to pop on and see how the rest of the car is. I bought the car as is and wasnt guaranteed to run so im not going to spend a lot of money on a head and then find out the whole block has to be replaced. I probably will just go with a used one from the classifieds or ebay...
