What Should I Look For?????

i'm currently in the process of finding a 1g (either fwd or awd, but definietly turbo) or a gvr4....my question is basic, when i go to look at these cars, what should i look for, like, what problems do these cars have that i should look into or look for? how many miles would you recommend not going over (i dont plan on doing any sort of an engine swap...at least for another year++). any and all help would be awesome. thanks in advance!

90 to 92.5(before june) smooth tranny, no smoking. pulls hard. nice interior..
not much shaft play if its stock turbo then a little is expected.. no oil leaks or boost leaks.
basically someone who has babied the car

you should be looking for something that runs smoothly first off. Make sure it doesn't idle rough or anything like that. Next pop the hood and look for any oil leaks anywhere in the engine. they are easy to fix, but can give you an idea of how the owner treated the car. I'd bring some tools and quickly pop off the intake and check the play in the turbo. there should be almost none. I always go under the car and check out all the axles real quick to make sure the boots aren't torn or anything like that.

As for a milage requirement, I'd get nervous at around 130-150k.
