So when I bought my car the PO hacked the harness up and I just really wanna start fresh. Where can I get a NEW oem harness for my 99 gst without paying like a $1000.

I don't know how many harness's there are, I want the one for the engine bay and where the radio is etc.

So i have a wiring harness out of the engine bay from a 97 eclipse turbo if you want the actual fuse box is kinda messed up but i would sell it to you for ALOT cheaper then 1000! Pm me and we can talk buisness! =)

Actually now that I think about it, I would like to take it all apart and take all the not needed stuff out. Is there a diagram for each wire and stuff? I know I saw someone do it before and take all the unused wires out. Thanks.

There isn't alot of wire you will be taking outf. 95% is still used to make the car run legally, the rest is for creature comfort.

Its not a big deal to pull the harness and go through it and fix some issues, but it is a sizable chunk to go through and determine what stuff can be eliminated. Worse case is you take one thing wrong out and have a hella difficult time trying to figure out where your problems are, when you can't make it run.

Fsm in paper back form is your best bet to ensure wire colors are correct, because the online 97-99 fsm for electrical work has some discrepancies I've heard when presenting information to member to try and help them.

Ebay, but nobody has a decently priced manaul set for your car, I looked at the time of my last post. I was going to link one, but wasn't sure on forum policy. You can pickup a 91-98 talon manual set for $30ish, but the eclipse set is overpriced @ $150ish.

If you can't find a mitsu set, I would stick with the online versions of the fsm. You can find them on scribd.com by searching 97-99el, and 97-99ecb. Find the section that relates to your car, and see if wirecolors are correct or false. For example, I might look for the maf plug, and power transisior plug, and ensure your cars wiring matches what the fsm says.
