Where do the SHIMS go for cams?

I just bought 272s from Delta Cam in Tacoma...they are regrinds. The guy gave me 16 shims (they're just tiny washers). Do these go UNDER the lifter? So I have to take the lifters out and put one shim in each hole and put the lifters back?

Yes, to my understanding, My buddy done the same. Each lifter has to be raised to take up the slack.

I just replaced the lifters in January but I guess I can take them back out..won't be that big of a deal
