Resolved Where do I find an air filter with an Oval flange to fit my Megan intake?

Hey guys,
I am working on switching to SD and will need a new air filter since I will be pulling my MAF out. My problem is, I would like to keep my Megan intake. The intake has a 2.75" x 4.5" oval opening. I dug through K&N's site and all they have are round flanges. Any idea where I can get a decent oval flanged filter?

You can always buy a 45* pipe and 45* coupler off ebay and make your own intake for dirt cheap. My 4" intake cost less than the k&n filter i have on it.

So when you say it's an oval opening you mean like the injens and dejons? If it is then you can use a massive coupler! It's what injen does and if it's 100mm or longer you can even have oval and round in the same coupler! As you compress 1 side and the other stays round

A coupler sounds like it would be soft, but yes like the dejon or injen.

So yes that's similer to the injen, I've never seen a Megan intake pipe before but it looks similer to injens so all you need is the coupler to connect the filter to the pipe, the filter may need a hard reducer to clamp onto but it will work

  I understand that. I wanted to see how it fit because with the j pipe there isnt a a lot of room down there

Check Forced Performance, they sell an oval filter for their 4" intakes

I for the time being still want to run a recirc. Seems like it is the better way to go.

Looks like forced performance just uses a 4" round cone filter then smushes it on there. I didn't think of that, but that might work.

From FP website: "The FP Cast aluminum intake pipe has an oval upper end that perfectly matches the shape of the factory 2G air flow meter. This shape coincedentally has a the same circumference as a 4" diameter tube, allowing standard aftermarket 4" cone filters to attach directly to the tube in applications where the 2G flow meter is not used, such as in VPC or stand alone fuel system like Haltec or AEM."

Just measured my intake. Looks like it is 12.5" circumference. A 4" diameter round is 12.56" circumference. Looks like i can just buy a round 4" and make it work.

I see this has been resolved but I had to post up a picture of what I used when I was running a MAF (it took a while to find a picture of it and the part number).....Worked great.
