Where can I get a mitsu flanged manifold with a external gate port?

Anyone know where I can get a mitsu flanged manifold with a 38mm wastegate port without breaking the bank? Ive been looking all over and cant find one. and im not paying 700-900 for a dnp.

Or you can do what we did when there weren't any of these mani's or they wee just too expensive for no real gain other than an external WG...

Weld a WG flange to a stock cast piece, or have an o2 housing made with a Tube for an external gate flange. Welding cast is tricky and can be done without the piece cracking before you even get any use out of it, just gotta knowq what you're doing and use the right rod, and although pure nickel is great for cast iron there's other rod that works slightly better in the ghihgh heat turbo mani applications.. I've welded several ext. gates on 2g OEM manifolds, So if you're happy with your mani but just need to control boost, save money by doing this and spend that extra couoplke hundy on something else like some more fuel management pieces :D

(If you decide to go that route and either don't know where to send it or know a GOOD TIG weldor that just doestn' know the correct rod but has plenty of cast iron experience PM me and i'll get you some info or you can ship it to me and i'll do it for ya)
 
I second the o2 mouted option. You do several things with this. FIRST, for the boost control, you have the gate inlet quite close to ideal to where all the gases from each runner can evenly flow. So your setup will become the like the more ideal exhaust manifolds with external gating for control and even VE across the cylinders. Not like the units that tap off of the number one runner. SECONd, you're forced to upgrade the stock o2 housing. Which is a rather terrible piece. Yes, it has done 11s maybe even 10s. But, you WILL see a gain in spool speed and peak airflow. I did even with just the small 16g using an ebay piece with patheticly uneven trasitions.

So an exhaust manifold like the SBR unit that costs more than an o2 housing with likely less than marginal gains; or a more even gating across the cylinders and upgrading the o2 housing at the same time and actually paying a little less money.

Now, you can see gains in the 16g range (even 14b) with a tubular manifold with a decent collector setup and they can be had with good exteral mount placement. Ebay even has some very affordable ones. But reliability now becomes a question. Unless you find one with untypically thick gauge piping that would be used on the much more expensive pieces that jmf and others produce.
