Have got the chance to pick up a GT3540R for a relatively bargain price and am considering it. One of the issues for me is that I've currently got a Mitsu-flange manifold going to my 50-trim and I don't really want to have to buy another manifold.

I saw AMS used to sell T3-Mitsubishi adapter plates but I can't find them any more on their site. Any idea where I can get hold of one of these?

The only place I have found them is on ebay, here is a link to one.
sorry link doesnt work just look up t3 adapter on ebay it was on the first page.

You're lucky - was just about to type "You suck at posting links" ;)

Didn't think of Ebay though - cheers for that. Now I just need to find out if the thing will fit in my engine bay easily enough. Are there any other issues going from something like a 50-trim to a T3 turbo like this? I know I'll need an external wastegate too.

And thanks for the other leads, folks :)

There shouldn't be to many issue's. I mean there is the wastegate thing. And more then likely a new downpipe / waste gate configuration. Are you running a bolt on (mitsu housing) 50 trim now? (I would assume so because your looking for DSM to T3 adapter, just want to be sure)

Turbo will come with a vband that I can just weld onto my current downpipe, so that side is sorted. I would need an external wastegate - am thinking I might see if I can get one welded onto my tubular manifold. It's a Punishment Racing budget one but has help up surprisingly well over the last year.

Am boosting about 1.6 bar so hopefully will be in the turbo's efficiency range.

Funny i was in kinda the same situation as you, I had a bolt on 50 trim and had a chance to pick up a bolt on pte6169 for the same price as what i sold my 50 trim for. now im switching over to t3 because the mitsu hotside is way to small for that size of a turbo, i got a junk ebay manifold for 20 bux that has never been ran so ill try it out for a little while and see how it does.
