, was thinking about doing it on saturday, but I can hold off until next week.
You guys notice we haven't heard from Tony? Its because he is going to wait to come on here until he already has bought the gauges, then we can't say crap cause he already got them. I still say these can wait. The cost of the gauges alone will get you a bunch of all that small stuff you need, and maybe something else for it. You saved BIG on the truck already! Remember?
No one heard from me ### i spent the evening with the most awesome 17month old around. Travis the trans gauge in my dash is a mechanical, no dummy light. And from what i hear is close. I havent orded a thing yet except the fmic and some new work cloths. I kinda enjoy having the cash in the bank. Maybe if i get paid from some of these people that owe me ill be alright. As far as the motor pull, guess thats depending on adam, hes the noob so i want him to do the most! Gotta learn somehow
If I stop being lazy and put my clutch in this week, I may do some street tuning on Saturday. If all that goes well I'll drive the car up there to give you guys some inspiration!!!
Just playin..Get that clutch in, and then come down and show us a thing or two on the tuning.
I really am kinda bumbed I didnt get to pull any parts this weekend. It was really nice.Don't you dare bring any green DSM up here!Just playin..Get that clutch in, and then come down and show us a thing or two on the tuning.
Travis- I guess I'll let Tony chime in on this one. I'd like to plan something sooner than later though..Gotta set it in stone early in the week.I really am kinda bumbed I didnt get to pull any parts this weekend. It was really nice.
. I have pretty much all of the parts i need except for my six puck, but i may partner up with my buddy an see about pulling the laser in the garage maybe Tuesday and get that motor ready to come out. I guess i need to line up a cherry picker first. I have a buddy with one, but the garage could use one too
It would be good if i had the head off by Thursday so i could run it up to the machine shop and have them deck it on my day off. These last two sentences immediately brought two words to my head ,
FAIL and FAAGGGGG.
Lazy Update: My axles and dp are out.
Lazy Update 1.2: Transfer case is down. I found something that looks like bearing pieces laying at the bottom of the trans....

Jeez..Russ..you definitly thought "outside the box" when you did that bumper work.

What's up with the bearing material in your trans? WTF That can't be good.
BTW, i'm drooling over your unsprung 6 puck!
As for your power goals, I'd like to walk a fine line between making gobs of power and NOT breaking stuff. That's why i don't want to go too over the top, we shall see. If anything is going to happen, it will most likely happen in 2011
I didn't do that!!! That was the 16 year old I got the car from. He had an ebay long-route fmic on it and hacked the bumper to hell, not to mention he tried to glue the bumper to the lights, cause he had no bumper support.
It looks like the back-side of the release bearing, so I'm willing to bet that it's pretty much non-existent. I have two more trans' to do @work tomorrow, so once I get a chance to drop mine, I'll post pix of that thing.
The clutch looks pretty diesel, very nice quality. I'm hoping to have as much luck as everyone else who has used it for more than 10k. I hate having to pull anything on this car, but since I'm adding to it, it's not that bad after all.
I'm just playing Russ. I'm loving the green. What 6 puck did you end up going with? Is it south bend? didnt you usd to have a 30R or a 50 trim or something? Why are you going smaller with the 16g? Spool?
. Your set up is going to look vicious. True DSM porn.
