Who knows where I can have a custom downpipe fabbed? I need a 3" v-band downpipe, or just a 3" v-band O2. I don't know why more vendor's don't make this. FP is the only one I see that does this.

A friend of mine uses them. I have never been there, but he says they do great work.
Interesting to say the least. Im interested in seeing Tony's face when I clip my goal of a 10 second pass and his motor is still on the engine stand. Changed my entire setup just for you Fatboy! I think Im going to keep this one.
On a second note...

Thank you very much. Im going to give them a call tomorrow.
You're not the only onelast i check its still on a engine stand, but its complete on a engine stand! Wheres that head at pecker! Still my homeboy though.
+1 for MBS, Excellent work, nice staff and good price. Custom work will be a little more, but hey, it's custom. They also stock couplers, tbolt clamps and do custom intercooler piping etc.
You're not the only one
Nice.. Now you will be able to see what that HX-35 is made of.Looks like there is a few of us in the area that are working on some pretty nice builds. What kind of internals did you end up using again? I remeber you mentioning it at the Mason Dixon and in Jersey, but I forget. Was it Weisco/Eagle?
I'm really excited to push the HX35 to it's potential and get some nice numbers on the board. I got a good deal from a guy that changed his mind on his set up. They're eagle rods, ross pistons and APR head studs, rods and mains.
So far me and a friend just got the rotating assembly finished and I have to order some small parts today. Once the bottom end has all of the parts bolted on and ready to go in, I'll pull out my long block out of my car and pull the head off to have it decked and put it on my new block and drop it in. My goal is to have it running putting break in miles on it by March 1st.
The only thoughts of an HX40 are far down the road. I think the HX35 will meet my goals with out having to upgrade. I plan on maxing it out, or atleast pushing it up near 38psi or so which seems to be the upper end of it's efficiency range. I still run the bolt on .55 turbine housing, so I'll probably top out around 500awhp. Once i switch to a full T3 exhaust and put on a bigger turbine housing it should be good as high as 600awhp. That's about all my forged internals are rated for, but honestly, that's about all I think i really need for a while. Using an E/T calculator, making 450 wheel horse power with my cars weight it should run roughly 10.89 (permiting a good launch and good shifting). My goals for this set up were high tens, but it looks like if i get a full T3 set up running good, it could do low tens. So no HX40 for a a while for me as long as my HX35 is doing well.
Wish I could say that about myself. Are the rest of your mods up to date in your profile?
...I'm down when ever our schedules would line up, I think Tony said something about a cheese steak?! I'll pay for myself, I'm just always looking to use food as an excuse to get something done. As for showing you pointers on Link, haha, i can show you how to turn on the program and the basic features. Honestly i got a couple of friends that are pretty good with link, at least good enough to get a tune on it. But if you wanted to play around with it, I'd be down.
but anyway now that i dont have someone nagging me to be around more, im down for the get down, lets do the damn thing. Travis you going to the shoot out this year? I looking for a 2 or 3 car trailer to rent to tow out there, know anyone? Im not thinking adams car will like a 7 hour drive by then!
cheese steak, someone speaking to the fat kid here? Im always down when theres food or beer involved. My shops not that horrible of a drive and me and adam have put in some late nights, we'll he has, im normally occupied with side work, or well yea im sure adam will throw me under the bus on that.but anyway now that i dont have someone nagging me to be around more, im down for the get down, lets do the damn thing. Anyway, I did a little research on the HX-35 and it seems these Holsets are really holding there own. The HX-35 record is a 10.76 at 137 I believe, by a guy in Ohio or something. I read it a few minutes ago but forgot already. The HX-40 record is held by Talondave from Oakland, MD. 10.14 . The HX-35 was done on street tires and a rough 20 tune! Sounds like you need to bring the game. I'll be routing for you man. Both Holset records need to be in MD!I'm glad i'm not the only one to get excited about cheap food. My wife messed up by trading chores with me and now she does all the laundry and i do the grocery shopping. I bought a platter of hot wings yesterday from the store and ate half of them for lunchcheese steak, someone speaking to the fat kid here? Im always down when theres food or beer involved. I can ask around and see if we can get a 2-3 car trailer somewhere, between my boss and people we deal with i should be able to get more info. I'm more than willing to try to offer the help that i can give, not sure if it'll be much though. Like i said, not sure what your schedules are, but my free time is during the day and evenings Thursday, Saturday and maybe a Sunday. Surprisingly the holset HX35 record doesn't seem that far out of reach. I say this, but in order to get that a lot of things would have to work out right. But if i was able to match the power levels of the guys that are maxing out HX35 (with T3 housings and exhaust- I'm still running mitsu bolt on) with my car's weight and if the trans would take the beating, I should be able to beat both records.Yea don't think so. Unless I stop every half hour for fuel. It's looking more and more like this is going to be a weekend car only. Wouldnt have it any other wayGot some more stuff ordered yesterday. Ordering valves, and a few other misc. things Friday, then I can get the head put together.
Travis, all you have to do with us is just tell us what things mean. I'm not asking you to tune my car, only help explain how things work. Tom and Dave told me to bring the car down when I am done with the build and they will drop a good base tune in so I can get around town. Let us know when you can meet up. I got the beer and the gas covered! Cheesestakes are on Fat A$$. Fat people know where to get the best food.Anyway, I did a little research on the HX-35 and it seems these Holsets are really holding there own. But if one becomes avaible i can then work on the hitch part of it. If not adam needs to buy a truck before then, 2 car trailers one truck, math dont pan out.
^That looks perfect for a 16 hour haul!!
Damnit, I want to bring the gsx out. You don't have any spare clutches lying around, do ya Travis???
I do have an ACT 2100 in good shape that i've been trying to sell for a while now. Let me know if you're interested in it.
As for the trailer, i guess it'd be ok, wouldn't really want to work my gas engine truck that hard though.
jsi automotive for all your dsm needs, not far from you at all in kingsville. We get pretty good deals on tires and do inspections
Let me know what your asking. My 2600 is still in there, as I have yet to yank it. I thing I may have popped a spring or two.
My buddy and I rented a Tundra a few years ago to tow his car to Ray Pampena. On the way back, the trans light came on. I think you'd be better off with the duramax.
I only have the pressure plate and i was asking $100 shipped, but i guess if you want it how's $75 picked up?
Yeah my Tundra does ok with it, but Ohio is a long hilly 8 hours away that begs for diesel. Maybe i'll just try to race at Englishtown this year. I would love to go to Ohio for the weekend during the shoot out though.
f hahahahaI guess i'm just a little less excited about racing at a dsm shoot out because my car has nothing to offer in the class that i would be racing in. But I agree, NJ was BS. I guess we'll see how my car is doing when the shoot out gets closer and we'll go from there.
Im hoping for a bracket class ### im sure as hell not going to be far enough along to compete, but having my car there to drive around for a coulple days will be worth taking it.
