wed night i can be here working,i got the stratus running tonight so it dont cut off on me....im ready to do the car. i love my duramax but miss the talon, saw 2 down oc this weekend, and between that and someother stuff happen ive been down the whole time!

This guy is in need of some brotherly love....had a bad weekend and realized its less then 3 weeks to oc car show which i fully intend of taking the talon too and its heart transplant is still sitting. So Travis, Shawn, Adam and Outside the box russ, if anyone had free time coming up text me and let me know so we can get together. I plan on pulling the old one either tomorrow night or wed, but thinking wedensday night is probably going to be it. Anyone plan on going down oc for car show weekend? Maybe we can plan something?

Sorry, bro. English Racing is flying me out to Oregon Thursday morning so I can watch (and help?) Jeff Bush reset his own auto awd record at IFO Woodburn on Sunday. Plus, I have to pick up a certain newly painted 4g63 rwd on Wednesday evening.

Well.....we can get him here for the Pan American Nationals. He won't be bringing the car, though. If I get some help on the plane ticket, I'll see if I can get him to do some tuning for me. Lucas is already putting a spectacular tune into Wendy's Wings when I go out there, so worst case scenario, you can "borrow" my tune and be fairly close, just change the injector table and a few other small things.

Oh, and I can't wait till I see a painted rwd, either! "INSIDE the box Russ" is taking care of it without me!

Shame on you. The biggest Import race the United States ever gets to see, and you forget the date. Oh, and plus you've been there a few times.ROFL
It's the same weekend every year. July 15-17. I'm giving you a call now.

I'm down for a contribution. I should be up in a few and am REALLY going to need some help. I don't even know where to begin with this setup.

Just like I told Tony, I'm flying out to English Racing tomorrow morning. I'm sure some of Lucas' knowledge is bound to rub off.....

Dose anybody do Capital?? i havnt seen any DSM's out there yet..i would run mine but im pretty much stock soo im usaully on the sideline with my two tone 1ga and acouple brews getting my hopes up for this summer

Cecil i hear is better. Been to Cecil havnt been to capital mainly because ive been told if you get there at 5 you may only get one run in. So screw that. I went to 75/80 and Cecil and have gotten over a dozen runs in. And that was spectating also.

well i cant say because ive never been to Cecil yet, Capital is really chill tho..last season I took my teg out there almost every other friday (test and tune), register around 3 or 4 than come back around 7 or 8 and got atleast 5 runs in allnight. if you stay late enough you can even hot lap it if u wanted to..
but im down a Cecil ride as well..

Aaron by the way Annapolis/elkridge DSMer

Man oh man! I'm out here at English Racing and all I can say is....I'm in heaven! These guys sure know their stuff when it comes to automatics, that's for sure. They're bringing a bunch of cars to the IFO race this weekend, and the slowest is a 10.60 FP3065 car, I think. I'll try to get some pics so that everyone on the East Coast can see how they do it out here. When I get back we're going to take the automatic to Cecil, so hopefully we can all meet up there. Tony, I did pick up the car yesterday. I think you'll like what you see when you see it! It'll be ready soon hopefully!

Out west they do shit right.....Im from Oregon so im biased..LOL

Thursday at English...........

Wow Shawn. It must be cool to be in your shoes right about now. Those are some awesome cars. Were you there for Jeff Dyno session other day where they swapped back to manual for a few pulls? Those were some impressive numbers to say the least. I'm trying to figure out how he did all this on the BM1650's.. I would of thought he would had been on the 2150's, though maybe they used Q16. I wonder if 7's are in the future with the new setup, with the GS3's, turbo, intercooler and all. Anyway..I'm rambling. That grey 1gb pictured is Badass also. I believe that's running the FP68hta.

BTW..looking forward to seeing what your picking up myself.:thumb:

I wasn't here for the dyno session. I just got here yesterday. I DID get to watch an Evo get dyno'd earlier today. Jeff does use Q16, as do most of these guys out here. 7's? Doubtful, but not completely absurd. The gray 1GB is Lucas' personal $3000 (TOTAL spent) car. Specs:
HTA68, 2.3 Eagle/Wiseco engine, HKS 264/264 cams, Metro automatic transmission, STOCK converter, Link V3, lots of weight loss. It's been 9.90's.

I wish someone around here knew how to build a auto trans right. Everyone I talk to dont want to build for peformance. Once thats done I will be back on the road again.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and send your transmission to Mark at Metro Transmissions in Washington state. He's cheaper and more reliable than IPT. We sent ours out there and couldn't be more pleased (50 passes later!). Plus, it doesn't hurt that Mark builds Jeff Bush's transmissions, either. Don't send it to IPT!!

Okay, seeing an 8 second DSM is cool. Seeing an 8 second automatic awd DSM is even cooler. Seeing the world record for automatic awd DSM's reset at 8.63@161 with the throttle body breaking at the 1000 ft mark is VERY VERY COOL!!! It was worth the 3,300 mile trip!! Back to the east coast I come!

Ipt was my last option. My car is just a full weight 2g awd running a hta68, cams intake and exhaust manifold. It would be lucky to break out the 12's. Really yhe only thing left on my build is trans and tune and I should be happy.

We have a full weight 1G auto running a big 16G, ECMLink, and stock engine with Metro Transmissions tranny and in the 12.80's with "marginal" driver. If I drive it, I'm sure it'll go 12.20's. I don't see why you won't do the same, if not better with a 2G auto.
