when is 3" exhaust not enough?

Well, that was my point. Most DSMers wouldn't be willing to spend over $100 per hour for someone else to cut and weld on 2 feet of pipe. Most (myself included) would consider that to be an overpriced labor rate. But like I said, it's a nice piece and I'm glad you're happy with it.

AMEN! being a dsmer means learning how to use an arc welder :)

Well I can't arc weld and it had to be done with that turbo. It would have cost me even more if I have them make a downpipe.

It's just pretty much a lesson for me to no longer go with a bottom-mount manifold and try stuff a huge t5 turbo under there or to have the hotside on the driver's side.

when 3" isnt enough you could always do 4".

goodluck. 3" will support 600hp with no issues, especially a side exit.

1gDSM4g63, just poking. You really should pick up an arc welder and practice on sheets of metal and other scrap stock. I understand your delema. And because of that, I am SO very glad I tried to weld something in the past. I've been practicing and it's really just like launching, you just need "seat time".
