XXXXXXX miles and two softball sized holes in the block.... sure am glad I didn't do it

Well my GSX has a newer motor put in recently. The body has 130k on the clock, and the previous owner said that the old engine was blown, so it had a few miles on her. I would estimate too much abuse with stock internals. :thumbdown

:dsm:

balance shaft locked up, locked the timing belt and the driver left it in drive at over 100mph breaking off 8 valves and bending the rest, completely ruining all 4 pistons, shoving a valve almost all the way through the #3 piston, the head is beyond help but amazingly, the block doesn't even have to be bored. Picked the car up for $200 in august still waiting on my 16g so I can bring her home. she has 97000 on her

had the car for two months and it crankwalked at 84k. that was a month ago. currently sitting in garage gathering dust. planning a swap of some kind for the spring

got my engine rebuild for the first time lest week at 233 000km, also note the car was decently mmodded for afew years also.

runs like bran new after the rebuild

Engine only has 26k on it, 97,000 on the car, spun a rod bearing. I'm leaning towards a crappy rebuilt on the factory 7 bolt. Now i'm getting a built 6 bolt motor

a tooth slipped. i had to rebuild i hit all the pistons and valves at 85k. rebuild it poorly and have 2 rebuild again. Do it right the first time. Dont rush!!! or ull pay in the long run.

just rolled 130K Miles... Compression was 145-145-155-155 on the stock 6 bolt. Jumped timie once and just retimed... I lost my tranny and figured I had to rebuild the motor cause of the timing problem... Turned out I tore down a good motor... My luck huh.. But now It will be all new and happy once again... once it is back in it's home in the car..

136k mi. Rod knock and crankwalk. I put about 2k mi. on it before these problems arose. :thumbdown . Now I'm saving up.

I have 65k and it's chewing coolant cause the HG is leaking. It still pulls low 12's with a blow headgasket but I gotta check the gas, fill the coolant type thing. It also has crankwalk though there are no tell tale signs, but it's measured out of manufacturer spec already. No ticking or petal stick or whatever but it's out too far so its gonna go.

I'm bulding a new crazy 6 bolt that should give me some more power on the street and track.

Previous owner had the balance shaft belt break at 135k, timing belt then broke, busted up all valves in the head. He replaced the head but didn't do it right, the car leaked/burned a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. I couldn't tell where the leak was, there was oil EVERYWHERE in the engine compartment, all over the entire motor, the transaxle, the underside of the car, everywhere, what a mess. Don't ask how long it took to clean everything.

I did get a spare motor and head from him when I bought the car, bonus! :)

No oil leaks after the rebuild :D :D

181,XXX oil leak around crank seal.
Decided Eagle Rods and Ross pistons would be good preventative maintenance to perform when replacing the oil seal. The oil pump was getting out of spec but the bearings all looked great. Minimal wear.

i have 133,350 miles but i'm doing a full rebuild this winter so i'll have a whole new engine after this winter :thumb:

106xxx, timing belt got 6 teeth stripped, oil pump was 180* off and the engine was starved of oil, so i got a hole in the block half of a rod and a multi piece piston out of the deal (i didnt have the car when it happened i bought it affterward for 2k. turbo was also dead

121K and I blew the HG and warped the head :thumbdown

5 angle valve job, COMP cams and an HKS HG later and it should be just fine :thumb:

62,500 ... I only have 2,500 of those :( spun a bearing.... rod knock :thumbdown

6 bolt swap and T04B-H3 :thumb:
