Got a 95 Talon Tsi AWD. Will an 18x7.5 wheel with 40mm backspacing fit?

I was thinking 235/40/18 tires. Does all this sound ok with a Koni Drop? Thanks

The tires and wheel sound fine (assuming that you want to spend money to make your car slower), but I have no idea what a "Koni Drop" is, so I have no (snide) comment on that part.

Hey, that will fit on the car but the rear will rub if you correct the allignment to be within the spec. I just got 18/8 with 235/40 and 41mm offset and the tire is also very close to suspension but no rubbing, you might have to trim the rear fender lip a little..If you want to be safe get the 225/40 tires..

Sorry I meant a Tokico Drop(1.75") I guess I will go with 225/40 to be safe.

When you drop a 2G by 1.75" you end up with a ton of rear camber. As you shim out the rear upper arms to reduce the camber, the tire comes closer to the fender lip. Therefore, plan to roll the rear fender lips. It will almost definitely be necessary. Fortunately, it's not very difficult.

Ok so basically to fit 18" wheels I will need to roll the fenders no matter what? I just want an easy drop with larger wheels. I will go with 17's if it is easier. Will 17x7's be better with that drop? Or should I go with like a 1.5 drop?

For a variety of reasons, I'd suggest only a 1.5" drop. Most of all, when a 2G is dropped more than this, the lateral arms angle down from the knuckle to the chassis, which kills handling. Also, having a front roll center near ground level makes for some not-so-fun, mid-corner surprises.

OK so if I go with a 18x7.5, 235/40/18, 40mm offset, 1.5" drop and roll the fenders I should be ok? Do i need to adjust camber at all?

If I go with 17x7 or 7.5, 225/45/17, 40mm offset, 1.5 drop will I need to roll the fenders or adjsut camber?

Instead of opening a new thread I thought I would just bring back up my old one!

Want to get 17x7(40mm offset) ADR Ricochet wheels

Can get 215/45/17 tires at a good price

Whart Drop should I go with....Tokico kit is pretty cheap but drops 1.75"

Any others in the $350.00 range with a 1.5 "drop?
