well before ripping the cylinder head off and sending it the the machine shop. i had bought a another head, i was told was good it wasnt. it was warped. after that ordeal we pulled off my head there we saw the intake valves there bent. so i guess that warped head was a good buy @ 100bucks. after we got the head back we started to gather parts, it to a while i was working 20-30 hours a weeks. so the car sat. once the arp head studs, oem head gasket, timing belt came we could get to work.

parts ive gotten from slow boys and ma performance

the bad head that donated its valves for the good head

almost really for the new head

the head finally goes on. havent had much time to do much. ive been working close to 40 hours for the last 2-3 months. i also work nights. so it can be hard to do things sometimes. the shop i took the head to painted and coated the valves to. at this point i found the cams and timing belt idlers weren't worth reusing.

also while the head was off i removed the ac side mount front end and power steering cooler

pile of ac and misc parts

veiw of the front end getting ready to mount the intercooler but i find the drill and dremel.

simple green works wonders :)

love the color. im doing the same as well. but a full build as my T-belt broke and valve's cracked the pistons....

good luck with build, always good to have spare parts i've got 4 heads.whole cars are great for scavaging if you got a place to keep them i've got 2 n/a though.

So wheres the pic of the cams you got that I wanted LOL!
Looking good! Mine drives again FWIW with a nice little grind in second.

I need to use Simple Green more often if it makes that big of a difference. Nice build and clean engine bay.

it wasnt that bad to begin with.

its amazing how just tearing out the a/c and all the pointless hosses can make the engine bay a lot bigger

im also missing the battery, manifold and turbo
