I got ya. I can see why you like the older ones.I'm only into the air-cooled cars, their siblings are old Porsches. Driving one is magical. They were created back when only the super-rich could afford a car. To drive one in the 30's or 40's, you would have felt really special just to be driving a car down a road at all. To drive one today, they still have the feeling.
The earlier rabbits and golfs were super fun and easy to drive and fix, a lot like 1G fwd DSMs. But yeah, since the mid-90s they've tried really hard to move up-market. The cars have gotten more expensive and quality has gone down, and yeah, LOTS of smug douche-bags can be seen driving them.

oh yes, i will have 3 dream cars in my garage, oh yes i will. my GSX, an evo x, and a supra TT.Lots of Vdub lovers. Not trying to start anything, but what do you guys like about them? I ask because I can't stand them, or the drivers.
