Edmonton,
So back in Dec last year my car start to slip, I search around to few DSM forums, and I didn't found a solid answer. according to my research if the RPM goes up its the clutch, but if the spedometer goes up its the center diff ( I have a 2G tranny). The problem that I dont get was they both goes up at the same time and the car doesn't move at all.

Just to make it more interesting, If I let the car sit for half a day or so to cool down and start the car I can drive it for couple of blocks just like nothing happened. Then it start to slip again.

What do you think its the problem?

EDIT: I must add that this happened when it was snowing bad and my foot slipped to the pedal causing to accidentally dumped it, From then on it didn't move anymore

I'm going to have to say its not a clutch issue as the speedometer goes up, yet its something to do with an output of some sort. I'm at a loss on this one but I have a feeling its not the clutch

Yeah the clutch seems to engage and disengage fine. I guess I'll find out when I tear all apart.

But then howcome I can drive it for few blocks if there is something wrong with the output shaft or some sort?

Well metal expands as it gets hot. Thats why it gets worse as it gets warmer. As for the issue itself id just tear it apart thats going to be your best bet because thats really strange. More then likely its going to be an output to or from the center diff though.

So today I took down the tranny to see whats wrong.

Turning the trans by hand, everything is rotating.
The clutch seems good, no sign of slipping wear or glazing.

This is the only thing I found broken....
the passenger side axle. could this a result of all my wheels not to turn?
Any one?

Ya, when my cv boot finally popped off, my car seemed like what youre describing. Exactly like it. Check went to utozone and picked up a reman axle for. 60 bucks. That fixed it
