i search for answer for this first but all of the original causes are different

Long story short i lost oil in my 91 talon tsi and spun all the bearings. The car has been sitting for 2yrs and i started to work on it again. I replaced all the rod and main bearing plus the thrust bearing, the got the car to start(has rough idle(news new ics)) now it smokes like crazy out where the o2 housing from the turbo connect to the dp(dp is currently off) and is spitting out burnt oil from there and the oil feed line that comes from the head to the turbo is leaking at the turbo side. Is it a bad turbo or something else?

from bottom dp is off

Looks like your oil supply line is leaking. IT would of been a good idea to clean all that up before putting it back together. Did you have the block line bored, the rods resized and have the crank turned or did you just replace the bearings?

crank and bearings, the lost of oil was caused because the oil bolt worked its way out somehow

Go get some purple power degrease from walmart and mix it 50/50 with water. Spray it on the oily area and let it sit for a few minutes. Than spray it clean. Now replace the crush washers on the turbo feed line and you should have a leak free turbo and it will be clean.

but would that fix the problem of oil coming out of the o2 housing(ive worked on turbo cars before but this is my first that im working on on my own)

i forgot to mention that the car wont even hit 1 pound of boost just vac

Is there a ton of shaft play? You might pull the manifold to see if the oil is coming from the turbo or the rings. If it is the turbo than there will only be oil present in the o2 housing but not the manifold, if it is rings than there will be oil in the manifold also. From the sound of it that turbo is trash though.

ill have to pull the turbo off tomorrow night and see.

i got the turbo off finally and there is shaft play and when i plug the holes and blow air through it with an air compressor the wheel on the exhaust side spins but the intake side doesnt. the turbo also is labeled as td04 s49177-1900 which is a 13g right?

many issues you run with letting a return line leak. your starving both your engine and turbo of oil. never drive your car with a oil leak. you will burn the bearings up in both the motor and turbo. i heard these oil return lines in the dsm are problem childs. i would keep an eye on them every 2-3 oil changes..

Im goin to do a body swap while i have some stuff off and put a new exhaust manifold, turbo and downpipe on them.
