well i have it off ,i jumped it and all it does is barely moves . is it supposed to spin or what ? inotice i can manually push it in. but it doesnt do that on its own.

When you test the resistance between the pins, it should vibrate and make a little noise. Also the resistance should be 28-33 ohms' i believe. Just like Weasel said, make sure you only supply 6v to the ISC.

yeah i only used 6 volts.it relly doesn't do anything but kick a little bit, and then the prongs throw tiny sparks

That sounds about like what mind does...

What is the resistance across the coils? This will be the test that actually tells you if its any good or not.

they read 28,all of them. it would want to die at stop signs and lights. i put another one on it and it did about the same thing only worse, of course i got it from a junk yard. mine even smells burnt up.

Well it sounds like you have a DOHC. SOHC you don't check the pins... Your pins on a DOHC should check 28 to 33. If you are getting 28 on all then you should be in good shape. It's your computer that is bad. Look up the part number on your ecm. You can get yours repaired or purchase a new one as long as yours isn't a turbo if you go to www.autocomputersupply.com. You can also call and talk to a tech about your problem.

I wouldnt jump the gun and buy a new ECU just yet. There are some troubleshooting steps you can perform in an attempt to isolate the probloem. Check your shop manual for the instructions on testing the ISC circuit. I would provide you with a link that will guide you thru this process but i seem to be having some issues with the site at the moment.
