Whats the differance in JMF Race SMIM?

Just bought a new JMF "Race" SMIM and I'm trying to find out what the differance is in the older versions all the way to the latest version of the SMIM.

Through some research i found out that the really old ones didn't have the three catigories such as street, Race, Drag, nore did they have velocity stacks. The newer ones have Velocity stacks. But on JNZtuning's website it says they have just been revised? anyone know what was revised? Just trying to find out if i have the latest version or not?

good call, although Im probably better off asking JM Fabrications since they are the ones that actually make it. I have also sent them an E-mail, but i will send JNZ Tuning one as well.

just got my message back from JMF. looks like they hadn't made any changes to their "Race" SMIM in about a year and a half.
means i got the latest one for a great price.

Who told you that???
On the JMF's Drag mani's, there weren't velocity stacks, at least not that I know of. Second , the velocity stacks help, more fore low end torque/RPM. Honestly i don't care for low RPM's at all and I believe no one with mid frame, or larger turbo does.

Long time ago, when some of the first Magnus SMIM, were introduced, there was an interview with Marco and he said/ there was a little to almost no gain and it wasn't just cost worthy to make them and this also makes the cost of SMIM's higher to the customers.

But finally they did start making them with stacks, both Magnus and JMF. So you are payng higher costs and this also helps get customers with smaller turbos / like 14B; 16G; etc./ buy the mani's too...

I have owned both types. one had a raised trumpet style and the new ones are cnc'd into the floor of the manifold. Also I don't want to argue but all of my research pointed to the stacks flowing better across the board.
