Whats the deal with my front bumper cover

This may be a dumb question but I just realized my Laser has a different front cover than any other ones ive seen including my old red 90. Whats the deal with this? Im pretty sure it wasn't ever swapped, its never been in an accident according to carfax and I bought it off the original owner who wasnt the type to swap anything.

The red one is like all the other ones ive seen and the black one is mine.

I just started looking at talon bumpers on google and just saw that myself, weird. The guy I bought it from was the original owner and he couldnt even change the air filter and the car was completly stock so I dont think he would have done it, Ill have to ask him. Maybe they got a little confused or didnt have enough stock of laser bumpers and just threw a talon one on it.

I don't think it flows right, because the laser doesn't have side skirts. I think the laser bumper looks better

I thought about getting side skirts and a talon spoiler and rear cover actually, but even as it is I still like the cover on it better than the regular laser cover. I talked to the guy I bought it off of and he said he never had it changed its always been like that. So either the selling dealer did it or it came from the factory that way.WTF

No it came with meshies and was bone stock, I added the EVO wheels. I still cant belive I bought this car for $750. Original owner FTW!

Yeah you really just never know. My Mom bought a brand new 90 Dodge Spirit directly from the Dodge dealer. Five years later, I painted it Viper blue with two fat white stripes from the bottom of the front bumper, all the way across the roof, and down to the bottom of the back bumper. It was then, that we noticed that the whole top of the car (everything above the pinstripe) had been repainted, and the bumper used to be red. The car was blue originally.

We were a little suprised. The car was sold to her as new. No mention of the whole roof, hood, trunk, and front bumper having been damaged.

Its a talon bumper i have the exact same bumper,color and everything at my house. Whoever put it on must of ordered the plymouth sticker and put it on. Id definitely get the side skirts tho. I have some gsx sideskirts if you want a little of every dsm in your car..

Bringing this one back from the dead. I just wanted to say thanks for posting the black Laser RS. Mine is just like that one (except for the bumper cover of course). I had posted a question about mirror color on 1g's (Were they gloss black or semi-gloss?) and I got mixed answers at 3 different sites. If that one is still original then it appears the answer is semi-gloss. Too late of course since I've already done mine in gloss . But thanks again.
In regards to the bumper. It probably got damaged in transport and the wrong part got put on it for the repair at the dealer or it maybe what most people call a factory freak. Possibly built on a Monday or a Friday by a worker that just didn't care.

I was trying to get a Talon tsi for bumper cover for my 90 and when trying to locate one wether it was a junkyard or reconditioned bumper I was asked if it was a turbo bumper or non turbo bumper. The nonturbo bumper looks like the one on the red laser and the turbo bumper is the one on black laser. I'm not sure how his applies to 1gbs other then the emblem on it but this seems to be a 1ga thing.
