ok here is the deal
i have a 91 talon fwd. about three days ago my battery died outside of my buddys house, and isn't that great i was parked on a hill.So i tried to pop start it. it didn't work both times. so i got a jump and when i was driving it hme and it was making a loud scraping sound, and the clutch was releasing way high and when i released it the pedal would shake like crazy! Sounds like a throw out bearing right? well neways i parked it and got to work.today i justed pulled the trans and this is what i found. the pics are in the attachments

should i get a new clutch or just a new throw out bearing and slap it back together?
i want some advise so i dnt mess this up ### neone help me
what would make it scrap against the bell housing like that?
is my bell housing ok?

When you took the clutch off, were there any bolts missing on the pressure plate? Any loose bolts on the transmission, especially where it bolts into the block? Anything drop out from there when you seperated the transmission?

If the only damage to the clutch was the scratches on the pressure plate, you can just get a new friction disc, resurface the flywheel, and get a new throwout bearing.

The only things to my knowledge that can cause that would be bolts loose/missing from your pressure plate, bolts loose/missing from the bell housing which would cause mis alignment. Both would cause the clutch pedal to engage high. Or the crank moving rearward in the block which I would be dubious about especially on a 6 bolt engine.

Good Luck

Why is the TOB installed backwards in the 3rd picture?

I would take your flywheel off and have it checked out to make sure its not horribly warped as well.

i took the TOB off then just slide it on for the pic i do realize its on backwards.

ok so get a new TOB, friction disc ( how is exedy, has neone had problems with them?)resurface the flywheel and is that it? the metal shaved off the pressure plate won't unbalance it or make it wobble at all?

hey guys i really appreciate the responses
