Im going to assume most people will just tell me to buy a new dash but I'm only interested in trying to find a way to repair it. Does anyone know a material replace the old flaky dry parts of the dash with? I figured I will just take out the dash, start removing the damaged parts, fill it in with some type of material, sand and prime, then paint it black. Also what kinda of option do I have to make the passenger airbag look decent since it's missing a cover besides buying a new airbag? I figured the least I could do is sand the crap off it and paint it the same color as the dash or is it fairly cheap to just get a black airbag and replace it myself

I mean, you can fix anything.

But you need to remove the dash to do it

Is it worth removing the dashboard and messing with different epoxies on the damaged section, to have that area less noticeable? Nope. You can get these dashes from parts cars cheap enough

How else could you fix it? You could flock the dash. Search dash flocking on youtube

I've repaired air bag covers no problem, but you have to actually have an air bag cover. No you cant find an uncracked or un damaged one, let alone black one

Yeah I seen people fix worse. I'm just a psychopath and will fix anything. The issue with buying a new dash is that I would have to travel at the minimum 3 hours some where most like 6 to 8 to find a dash and shipping is pretty outrageous for a dash. Yeah I'll probably end up biting the bullet on the airbag but I just don't like throwing away parts if I don't have to and save money. For me doesn't make financial sense to spend 200 on a dash and 250 on shipping when I can spend maybe $50 and get a nice repair out of it. I been waiting months just to find a rear bumper and wing locally in socal or arizona.

Carbonetics was almost a year on my hood and came destroyed by shipper. Sergio was easy to work and talk with. They replaced it in 3 months after that... but good quality when you finally have it

A guy is selling me a black dash for $80 so makes no sense for me not to buy it as it would cost probably that much to repair mine. Comes with the passenger airbag too

Did you know it would take that long? LOL That's wild.

Original quote was 4 months... that was almost a no for me too since I like insatant gratification LOL... but they make them to order...

It just made it worse when freight company did the mexican hat dance on it

Sergio made it right though

Yeah LOL I was surprised. I have to drive 6 hours to pick it up though then 6 hours back =/ have to drive all over the damn place to get parts for this car. Still have to find a muffler as I can't find one under $200 new, drivers seat, and a wing though. I plan on probably selling the car along with my prius and buying a p85d with ludicrous mode LOL

I see you found a nice deal on a used dash. I decided to post this anyway in case it will help anyone.

I’ve not done any of this, but I remembered watching this video a couple years ago and it should help with what the right repair path is for the next person to come along.

Yeah I might repair the dash anyways, paint it, and sell it. I rather not throw parts for these cars away.

Looks like I'm not getting the dash. I asked the guy to just go to USPS with it and do a hold for pickup for me so I'm guaranteed to get the dash because I don't want to drive for 12 hours total for nothing if the guy flaked on me. Even offered extra money. He was too lazy to do it and refused and started complaining. Told him alright not interested and have a nice day. He started crying saying I wasted his time and I blocked him. I have to drive 12 hours, rent a car, and this lazy mf can't even drive a couple miles to USPS? I guess I'll either be fixing my dash or hope something comes up around socal that I can pickup

Could try searching ebay

If you’re determined to fix the dash check out a YouTube channel called Real Repairs for Real Customers. He’s repaired all kinds of dashes and interiors. I’ve learned a lot from that channel.
